The video is a time-lapse of the June average monthly thickness of the ozone layer
between the years 1979 to 2015. The video is the observations from the satellites
images that analyze the atmosphere over and near the north and south poles. The imaging
shows that despite the fact that the ozone layer has decreased and increased in size
numerous times within recent history; however, overall, the ozone depletion
has increased. This time-lapse is vital to analyzing how the ozone layer has fluctuated
and changed throughout the past 35 years.
