Dear Sir / Madam:

This is a letter of recommendation for Megan Stredler. I am the owner of Art Studio on
the Boulevard and have been in business since 2008. Megan's mother approached me
in 2008 and said that Megans score on the visual arts aptitude test was very high and
that she wanted to enroll Megan in my art classes in order to enrich these qualities in
her daughter. Megan was 11 years old when she started classes with me. Her aptitude
for visual arts was immediately apparent. I teach multi-media art classes and therefore
Megan has been learning about multi-media art for many years. I hold a B.S. Degree in
Fine Arts/Studio Arts from the College of William and Mary. Fine arts is a passion of
mine, so, in addition to teaching studio arts, my focus is also to incorporate fine arts
lessons with each studio arts lesson. I am proud to say that Megan has been inspired
to become an art teacher. I recently accompanied Megan to her Girl Scouts meeting
with the Girl Scout Council. Megan was given approval to complete a mural in a local
assisted living home, Westminster Canterbury, in Virginia Beach, to complete her Gold
Award for Girl Scouts. In addition, the home has asked Megan to teach not only group
art lessons but private lessons as well. Megan is meticulous and goal-oriented as it
pertains to her artwork. Once inspired, Megan will always make sure that she brings
her best to the completion of the piece she is working on. I would highly recommend
Megan to be an excellent art teacher.
