HOW TO BE A RATIONAL VOTER

Many Americans today are unfamiliar
with rational voting or simply dont vote.
Many do not register to vote. Many do
not know much about the candidates
but only see what is in the media. Some
argue that people are irrational and
cannot correctly vote for a candidate.
We will look at the ways to become a
rational voter.

Where to find good sources for rational

voters
Candidates: In order to be a rational voter and vote for the best

candidate possible, here are some ways you can get the best,
most accurate information about them. Go to the candidates
website, watch live debates on TV or listen on the radio. Research
their policies and go to the Political Parties Website. To be rational
means based on facts or reason and not on emotions or feelings.
It also means having the ability to reason or think about things
clearly. This applies to voting because we need to look past
things such as outward appearance. We need to focus on their
policies and what they are doing for the country instead of what
they look like.

Places to vote:
-Voting booths at schools or city
buildings
-Mail in voting

Places that people go that may be biased or not accurate
sources may be magazines, news articles, and other
peoples opinions. We have to set aside other peoples
opinions and focus on the most rational ideas and vote for
the best candidate.
Some people may not vote because they are not registered.
It is very easy to register. You can simply sign up online and
get registered to vote for the upcoming election. Some
people think that their vote doesnt count but in reality
every vote counts. If you dont vote dont complain about
the leaders. Even if you are in a republican dominated
state you can still vote and potentially sway the vote.

the candidate is from and go
with that but this can be
very dangerous. Make sure
you get to know your
candidate and their policies
to be able to make a rational
voting decision.

that support education and
