Chapter [Istinja, Istijmar, Manners of the Restroom]
Istinja is the removal of what comes out of the track with
water, stone or its like. It is an obligation for every excrement except flatulence, that which is pure, or something dry. Istijmar is not sound except with something pure, permissible, dry, and cleansing. Cleaning with a stone or something similar occurs when nothing remains except
traces only removable by water. It is a requisite that there
be 3 wipes or more which cleanse, the excrement does not surpass its normal location, when water is employed it returns the place as it was, and its assumption is sufficient. It is impermissible to use dung, bone, or food even if
animal feed. Neither wudu nor tayammum are sound
before it. It is impermissible to remain more than what is necessary as well as defecating in water, defecating or urinating in a
watering place, on a traversed path, in used shade, under a
fruit bearing tree of harvest, or to face or turn ones back to the qibla in open space. Notes:
