Itinerary

(NOTE: Breakfast will be eaten at hotel


every day
)
Day 1:
Take flight Lufthansa 6635 from Toronto-Pearson Intl. (YYZ) Barcelona-El Prat
Intl. (BCN) at 9:50 pm.
Day 2:
Land at Barcelona-El Prat Intl. (BCN) at 10:50 a.m. and rent a car to take to the
hotel. Order room service at the hotel. At approximately 2:00 pm, walk down the road to
visit Sagrada Familia. Afterwards, go back to the hotel, take the car, and then go to
Glories Centre Commercial. Take car to Aladdin Restaurant to have dinner. After dinner,
drive back to hotel.
Day 3:
Drive to Port Aventura. Have lunch inside the theme park. When done in the
theme park, exit and drive to Restaurante Italiano Rossini for dinner. After dinner, drive
back to hotel.
Day 4:
Visit Jard Botnic de Barcelona and Jardins Mossn Costa i Llobera. Go to La
Bella Napoli for lunch. Afterwards, go to Jardins de la Mediterrania. Some other parks
that will be visited are: Jardi Ernest Lluch, Parc de la Ciutadella, Parc Guell, and Parc de
Montbau. Go to Restaurant Parc Guell for dinner.
Day 5:
Drive to Bunol in preparation for the Tomatina festival. Grab lunch somewhere on
the way there. We will buy tickets for it when we reach. Check in to the hotel and find a
restaurant for dinner.
Day 6:
Participate in the Tomatina festival. Have lunch in the small town of Bunol. At
night, check out and drive back to Barcelona, to our original hotel.
Day 7:
Drive around Barcelona seeing random things across the city. Take part in Festes
de Gracia events. For lunch, drive to Swagatam Restaurant. Afterwards, travel a bit out of
the city to Costa Brava. This small coastal town has very beautiful beaches and coves.
When we come back to the hotel, we can order room service.
Day 8:
Drive to Montjuic Hill. While there, we can see the Montjuic Castle, as well as
taking in the picturesque hill itself. Montjuic Hill has commanding views over the citys
harbour, which is immediately below. After taking in the breathtaking views, go to the
Museu Nacional dArt de Catalunya and have lunch at leum. After eating lunch, visit
MNAC, which is situated in the same place as the restaurant. Afterwards, head to Poble

Espanyol, an architectural museum across the road from MNAC which hosts many events
at night. For dinner, go to Restaurant La Font de Prades.
Day 9:
Take a short drive out of Barcelona to Montserrat. Montserrat is multi-peaked
mountain which has great views. After we are done exploring the mountain, we will go to
Restaurante Bartomeu for lunch. Descend the mountain and drive back to the hotel. Rest
at the hotel for the rest of the day. Order room service from the hotel for dinner.
Day 10:
Drive to the gothic quarter to see how Barcelona used to look like in the olden
days. Have lunch at Bilbao Berria. Go to the Sant Antoni Market. This is a market that
sells almost everything. After that, go to the Picasso museum to see some of the Spanish
cubists greatest masterpieces. For dinner, go to the Crema Canela.
Day 11:
Drive to Camp Nou for the Camp Nou experience and an FC Barcelona game.
Have lunch at the stadium. Once the game is over, head to CosmoCaixa Museum. (This
trip is optional, it can be moved to the next day depending on how everyone feels). If you
choose to go to the museum, you can go to Cafe 1907 Restaurant for dinner. If you do
not go to the museum, then you can go to straight back to the hotel, and order room
service there.
Day 12:
Head to Placa dEspanya to do shopping. Have lunch there. After you are done
shopping, go to the Barcelona Cathedral. At night, head back to Placa dEspanya to see
the light show that takes place at the magic fountain of Montjuic. For dinner, go to Lolita
Taperia. (Note: If CosmoCaixa is moved to this day, then Placa dEspanya will not be
visited)
Day 13:
Go to the Barcelona Aquarium. Go to Restaurante Dune for lunch. After having
lunch, go to Hospital de Sant Pau. This is a complex with moorish-style pavilions and
gardens in front of it. Also, you can head to the Barcelona Pavilions. (The Barcelona
Pavilions trip is completely optional). For dinner, go to Rias de Galicia.
Day 14:
Go the Archaeological Museum of Catalonia. Afterwards, go to the Barcelona
Zoo. Once you are done seeing all the animals at the zoo, go to La Paradeta for lunch. To
close off the Barcelona trip, head to Placa de Catalunya. This place is a prominent central
square with many sculptures. For dinner, go to Teresa Carles.
Day 15:
Drop the rental car off at the airport, and board the plane to come back to
Toronto at 11:45 am. This flight will land at 2:40 pm.
