OVERVIEW:
StudentswillworktoprepareaMapCritiqueonamapoftheirchoice.Theywillpresenttheir
analysistotheclassinashort5minutepresentationusingonlyoneslideoftheirmaponscreen.A
coloursummarysheetwillbeprovidedtoclassmatesdetailingtheircritiqueofthechosenmapover
asetofgivencriteria.Theinformationthatispresentedwillbeeligibletobefoundontheexams.
Theaudiencewillbeevaluatingthepresentations,withamarkderivedfromtheaverageofscores
received.

PRESENTATIONDETAILS:
1.Studentswillsignupinthe5minutepresentationslotoftheirchoiceduringavailabletimeduring
lectureandlabperiods.LisaorIwillbringthesignupsheetstolectureandlabperiods.Therewill
be8spotsforeachofthethreenightsthatcanbefilled.Firstcome,firstserve.

Spendsometimeresearchingandcheckingoutsomebooksandwebsitesbeforeyouselectyourmap.
Iwillput2largebooksfilledwithimportanthistoricalmapsinthemaplibrary(ifopen,orIwillleave
withLisa)foryoutouseforresearchandscanning.
