Mexican Undocumented Immigrants

Intro: The United States has become the destination for many people who seek a better life.
Many people of color travel thousands of miles just to get the U.S and when they arrive they
arent welcomed. They are criminalized, dehumanized, taken advantage of, and oppressed.
There are many things taught in school about many of the other tragedies that have happened
in the world that affect mostly white people because it only seems like their lives matter.
Although there have been efforts made towards prevent discrimination, many things
havent changed because of the fact that this is still a white man's world that constantly
oppresses people of color in a variety of complex ways. One of the key ways to keep people
oppressed is to keep them voiceless. In order for many of the white men in the government to
keep their power is to keep their citizens ignorant by saying this is a post racial society we live in
and people of color including immigrants, voiceless by taking their rights away with the racism
that is still alive and well.
Cause: There are many reasons that people immigrate to the United States, many of them are
because the united states did something that negatively impacted an immigrant's home country.
The whole world knows how nosey the United States is and their intrusiveness has left many
countries in a bad shape.
If this many people are doing whatever is in their power to get to the United States one must ask
themselves what the cause is. People dont just migrate to another country just because they
want to, its a matter of their needs over their wants. This is shown by how they just drop
everything to leave to a foreign country and start all over, the process is full of sacrifice and
many times danger. Starting over in a new country makes people very vulnerable because they
are in a totally different environment.
There's a reason the Canada U.S border is not as armed as the Mexico U.S border and the high
amounts of racial profiling that goes on in border states sets the undertone that things are more
about race than national security.
Life as an Illegal immigrant in the United States and where theyre being deprived of rights:
Many of the immigrants that come to the united states do domestic work or agriculture. Also,
people who have careers in their home countries arent certified to work here and cant work in
jobs they studied for so they just end up working in jobs they are over certified for.
Deportation (deportation centers, ICE officers/their brutality): Mass incarceration has become a
huge plague in the United States. If its not Black and Latino men getting incarcerated at huge
rates, its undocumented immigrants. The deportation process is a cruel one. From the point
someone gets arrested to the point they are actually sent away many of their human rights
diminish. Getting detained by an ICE officer can be terrifying because they are known for being
rude to the people they are arresting INSERT EVIDENCE HERE. Once people are taken into
custody they are sent into deportation centers where it can be heavily overcrowded and people
are treated unfairly INSERT EVIDENCE HERE. People are being treated as cattle in the way
that privately owned prisons can make profit off of how many people are in their centers and the
government is promoting this INSERT EVIDENCE HERE.

Conclusionand ways to help this situation: One of the main things that can help situations like
these is getting as informed as possible. The amount of ignorance that this situation is receiving
is hurting people in so many ways. The biases and stereotypes are just reducing people into
something theyre not and it doesnt leave room for their humanity.
Look for the cause of the problem and try to identify what can be done in order to give people a
chance so they dont have to suffer in a country they cant call home.
Teach the history of this country right, millions of people of color died in order for this country to
be as successful as it is now. What is taught in schools is very white washed and far from
reality and it prevents people from seeing the hypocrisy when people hate on immigrants
especially undocumented ones.
In the age where being politically correct is somehow wrong it is evident that knowing when
something is wrong it is seen as a threat. Political correctness is a threat to the people whose
platforms are based on lies,bigotry, and ignorance.
