FFCSs effect on my character
5/9/16
How attending FFCS has had an impact on my character
I have been attending Faith Fellowship Christian School since I was in Kindergarten. I
have learned a lot in my years at FFCS, but a big thing that I have learned that has impacted my
character, especially in my six years in high school, is time management, developing a hard work
ethic and it also gave me the sense that I could do anything that I set my mind to. These are
things that not only helped me through high school, but will help me in the years to come.
During my seventh to my senior year, I have been a part of the soccer and basketball
teams. During the sports seasons, I had to juggle school work and sports practices, and sports
games which felt difficult at times, but it was worth it. During my seventh grade year was when I
got my first true taste of time of time management. Ever since, Time management has really
helped a lot especially during the school year.
While attending Faith Fellowship, I have also developed a hard work ethic. I think that
this became a part of my life especially in my freshman year. This was the year when I took
Algebra 1. At the five week mark in either the first or second quarter, I had a fifty- six average.
This was not only made me upset, but it made me realize that I needed to do as many corrections
as I could to bring my grade up. Those next five weeks were full of not only normal school work
but many math corrections. As you would guess all of the hard work paid off, because my grade
went up almost thirty points. The same thing happened during my junior year, except I had a
forty- four average. With all of the corrections, I brought my grade up almost thirty points.
During my senior high school years, I have taken many classes that were difficult for me,
but after I finished those hard classes, it gave me a sense of accomplishment, and that if I can
not only pass this, but pass it with a good grade I can do anything. An example of this would be
last year, when I was taking Algebra 2 and physics. During my Junior year, I was also taking two
extra classes, Spanish 2 and Music, which also made my schedule even fuller. This year I am

taking four extra classes: Spanish 3, music, advanced math/ pre- calculus and chemistry. The fact
that I can pass all of the mandatory and extra classes gives me the confidence that I can do
anything I set out to do. During the times that I felt like it was to do everything; school work,
sports and work, the verses that kept me going were: Matthew 19: 26 b/ Mark 10: 27 b and
Philippians 4:13. Matthew 19: 26b/ Mark 10: 27b both say With God all things are possible.
Philippians 4: 13 says: I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
In conclusion, attending Faith Fellowship Christian School has helped me develop a hard
work ethic, learn time management and give me that confidence that with God, I can do anything
I set my mind to. I believe that these skills are not only helpful for the high school years, but the
years to come as well.
