The earth is home to more than 7 billion people that largely reside in countries, including
United states, South Africa, India, and China. Inside these countries climate change is damaging
forests, croplands, and rivers. The temperature has gone up and because of that, we are
experiencing forest fires, droughts, stronger storms, and extinction of species.

Climate Change 2

All around the world people are are complaining about the change of temperature and the
results of it. For example the midwest. People that live there are complaining about how the
temperature is getting colder in winter, and the temperature in the summer is rising and is
becoming more humid. People are starting to believe that due to the hotter summers their health
risks are also increasing. Precipitation could increase the risk of exposure to diseases (EPA,
2015). Since the rise of diseases is occurring this can cause more deaths. For people living in the
lower west of the United States, they are experiencing droughts and forest fires. Reduced water
supplies will add stress to already little water sources (EPA, 2015). This shows that the sources
of water are crucial, and it is becoming worse.
Although there are people that believe these events are occurring, there are also people
who are doubtful about it. Most people are sceptical about it and do not understand it
(Whitmarsh, 2015). So because of this people are not doing anything about it. As Kahan et al, put
it, you understand that your effect will be absurdly small, until and unless many others join
you (Peters, 2015). This means that people do believe it, but since what they do to help have a
little effect then they decide not to believe that climate change can come to an end. People also
believe that climate change is not real by thinking that it is not real. A passage says that cooling
was occurring. However, once the planet started to warm up, they changed their
minds(Hawkins, 2015). This can cause people not to believe the climate is real.
All in all, climate change is real. Due to all the gases going out it has caused the climate
and weather to shift. As well as more frequent and severe heat waves (EPA, 2015). One of the
gases that is known to cause this is Carbon Dioxide. An increase in temperature will bring
changes that can damage our water supply, croplands, power and transportation systems, the
natural environment, and even our own health and safety.

NASA(2015) says that the rise of carbon dioxide is causing the planet to be warmer.

According to EPA, The Midwest will likely experience hotter summers with longer dry periods and
milder, wetter winters. Climate change will likely place additional stress on infrastructure and the
economy(2015).
