Task 1 Plan and Gantt chart

I am working as a junior for a record label.
The first task is to produce a plan and a Gantt chart for the work we have to
complete in this assignment, in relation to my lesson plan in my digital diary. I
have 7.5 hours to complete this assignment which is constructed of 7 tasks, I
need to examine the work I have to complete in each task and determine how
long each task will take.

Task 2 will be completed throughout the 12 hours and will be featured in my

digital diary.

Photoshop
I will be using this software to create all of the graphics I will need to produce the
DVD menu. This is because I have plenty of experience with this software, so I
know how to use a lot of the different tools making it easier to create graphics.
Also, I will be using this software because it is one of the easiest pieces of
software to create graphics on.
Photoshop will let me save my files for my graphics in different file formats,
therefore letting me use the graphics in my product without any problems at all.

Director
This will be the software in which I will be creating my project in. I also have quite
a bit of experience with using this programme, so I know how to set it up and use
it. I know what most of the different tools do and I know how to create new pages

with transitions. I also know how to import different files into it and edit them to
fit the canvas or to position them how I want. I then know how to save and
publish my product once I have completely finished it.

Excel
I will be using excel to create the Gantt chart which I will be producing for task 1,
Excel allows me to create a table and colour in the different cells on it. This
makes it easier and better to create the Gantt chart as I can colour in the
different cells on the different tasks, so that there is a clear difference between
each one.

Word
Word will be used for all of the writing to do with the product. This is
things like the report and treatment for it. Word is the best programme to
use for this as it is a document writing programme, meaning that it is
made for typing up stuff on pages and it will be saved with a small file
size.

This is the Gantt chart which I created in Excel:

The blue cells mark out what days I will do each different task that is set. The red
cell then shows what day the deadline is. I made this red so that it was easier to
see so that I knew when my deadline is.
