Beta Program Reactions

Safety Analysis in HYSYS v8.3 provides a pragmatic means of estimating relief

loads, PSV relieving area and Inlet/outlet line sizes in a quick and productive
manner. The scenario management system in HYSYS v8.3 allows the review of relief
contingencies and the expected back pressure all in one place. This addition to

aspen HYSYS may be used both as a design and as an educational tool.

Beta Program Reactions

The new Aspen HYSYS safety analysis functionality is great for the relief analysis
of the process unit. We can now quickly estimate relieving fluid properties /
conditions, size the relief valves and produce required documentation all

without leaving HYSYS! This will minimize errors, improve the quality and speed
up our work significantly.

Beta Program Reactions

The most important utility of this incorporation for the user is that he does not
have to transfer data from one software to the other since it takes the needed
data directly from the Aspen HYSYS stream The interface created for this utility
in Aspen HYSYS is fast, clear and comfortable for the user. It permits him to
be flexible and to have a fast overview of the different PSVs, scenarios and data
in sizing the PSVs
