Allstate Warranty Information
Allstate Gasket & Packing, Inc. ("Allstate") products are

guaranteed for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of
original purchase to be free from defects in material and
workmanship and to render satisfactory service provided they
are used for the purposes and in the manner for which they
are designed. The buyers sole and exclusive remedy under
this warranty shall be the replacement, without charge, and
not including installations or other costs, of any Allstate
product which, upon inspection, is shown to be defective to
Allstate's reasonable satisfaction. Allstate shall under no
circumstances be liable for incidental or consequential
damages for economic loss or injury to a person or property.
Any claim on account of a defect in the product shall be
deemed waived by the buyer unless written notice thereof is
given to Allstate within thirty days after discovery thereof.
Exclusion of Warranties: The warranty described herein shall
be in lieu of any other warranty, express or implied, including
but not limited to any implied warranty of merchantability of
fitness for a particular purpose.
Oral statements made by Allstate salespersons about the
products are not warranties and shall not be relied upon by
the buyer. This writing constitutes the final, complete and
exclusive expression of the terms of the parties.
Materials used in Allstate products and available sizes are
subject to change without notice.

Style 6 - All - Vee V Ring Packing
All - Vee - V Rings seat automatically and are pressure - sealing. They keep equipment running
smoothly and reduce maintenance. They are scientifically designed to make the pressure seal itself. All
- Vee Rings expand toward the rod and stuffing box wall on the power stroke or with increased pressure
to automatically form the seal. On the return stroke or with pressure relaxed, All - Vee Rings contract
from the rod for free movement with minimum friction.
Recommended Uses:
Style-6-52:
Non-aromatic petroleum oils and solvents, air, water, and elevator
worm gear drives. Temperatures from -20F to +212F. Seals well at
low pressures.
Style-6-56:
Phosphate ester base hydraulic fluid (not suitable for petroleum oils).
Fire resistant types up to 225F maximum.
Style-6-58:
Hot or cold water, water-in-oil and water-glycol fire resistant
hydraulic fluids and hot or cold oils. Temperatures up to 275F.
Style-6-3108-Teflon*:
All service except molten alkali metals and fluorine at elevated
temperatures from -120F to +500F maximum.

Style SB-542 - Soot Blower Packing
AST - SB-5442 Soot Blower Packing:
AST's SB-542 is a high strength packing specifically designed for the demanding applications and
high temperatures of soot blowers. SB-542 materials include a proprietary blend of continuous
filament high purity carbon/graphite with a special blocking agent that is designed for all types of
blowers.
Self-Lubrication:
SB-542 is manufactured with self-lubrication to prevent frictional wear and significant volume loss
at high temperatures.

"V" Configuration Construction:
The construction of SB-542 is a special braid for die-forming a conical or "V" configuration. This
allows a tighter seal with less gland load, which results in longer packing life.
High Temperature:
SB-542 is designed to withstand temperatures up to 1250F in steam service, which means it can
be used in virtually all blowers.

Bulk Packing
American Sealing Tech's injectable pump and valve sealant combines a malleable packing material
with space-age chemistry and technology. The end result is a superior pump and valve packing,
material that can be injected while the pump is operating without interrupting production.
AST's injectable sealant is made from a blend of high-tech, non-asbestos, non-hazardous synthetic
fibers and carefully selected blends of grease, oils, and other proprietary binders. It is this unique
blend of fibers and binding agents that allows the sealant to be run virtually leak free. It does not
rely on product leakage for lubrication, the friction heat buildup that so often leads to compression
packing failure is eliminated. The sealant's low friction coefficient and non-stick properties help
extend equipment life by reducing shaft and sleeve wear.
AST's sealants are installed with any flat-bladed tool, such as a putty knife or wide-bladed
screwdriver. The material can also be finger-packed into the box. An anti-extrusion ring of
appropriate material is placed in the stuffing box around the shaft. A second ring is put in place
after the sealant is installed.
When repacking becomes necessary, you do not have to remove the old packing. Just add more
sealant packing material by using AST's injection gun to inject new packing through a fitting
installed on the pump or valve stuffing box.
AST's Universal Packing 777 is available in five standard grades to suit a variety of applications. the
sealants can be used to replace conventional compression packing in centrifugal pumps, valves,
and other rotating equipment where compression packings are being used.
AGS 20 A blend of exfoliated graphite particles and high-temperature sacrificial lubricants for
extreme service applications
AGS 25 A high-performance, chemically resistant product with bearing pellets. Ideal for the
toughest applications
AGS 26 A non-staining, non-toxic fiber blended with FDA-approved lubricants for clean or foodgrade applications.
AGS 27 A blend of high performance fibers and chemically resistant lubricants.
AGS 29 A blend of synthetic fibers and non-staining lubricants for general service.
