A significant learning experience in CLPNA competency was medical administration this coarse related to CLPNA through the ten rights. This learning experience is Competency. Rational. related to the competency because it required critical thinking through planning. In order to prevent med error it is important for the practical nurse to follow the first five rights of medication before administration and the other five at bedside. An example is when I had to administer Tylenol pills during lab practice, I made sure that all my five rights were done before I got to my client bedside this planning ensured that I was knowledgeable about the type of medication I was administering to my client and also provided me with a foundation about that medication. When I entered the clients room I was able to educate my client why I was administering that medication and when they chose to refuse the medication I knew that it was one of their ten
