ASSESSMENT ONE NETBOOK LESSON AND REPORT

Part A 1000 words
Write a report on the emergence of Netbook computer technology in classrooms
in Secondary Schools across Victoria. You will need to investigate the rollout of
the 1-1 student to computer ratio program through the National Secondary
School Computer Fund, the effect of this in schools and the implications for
schools now that the NSSCF funding has been discontinued.

Part B 750 words

Create a lesson that could utilise the Netbook computer technology in the class
of your other method and write a brief report which outlines the following:

How will the lesson engage students?

How you would run the class using the Netbook?
What are the equipment and resources needed?
What prior knowledge is required?
How does the lesson fit into the Victorian Curriculum and Digital
Technologies?
How you would keep all students on task and engaged?
What problems or pitfalls do you need to look out for?
How you would assess or evaluate the lesson afterwards?

Part C 250 words

Write a lesson plan for the above lesson using the lesson plan template on the
next page. You may choose whether this lesson is a single or double session.
You are to present your assignment to the class in a short presentation in the
format of your choice. Plan for a 5 minute time allocation.
