! Keep this instruction manual in a safe place for

future reference. Should the appliance be sold, transferred or moved, make sure the instruction manual
accompanies the washing machine to inform the
new owner as to its operation and features.
! Read these instructions carefully: they contain
vital information on installation, use and safety.

Unpacking and levelling

Unpacking
1. Unpack the washing machine.
2. Check whether the washing machine has
been damaged during transport. If this is the
case, do not install it and contact your retailer.
3. Remove the 4 protective screws and the
rubber bush with the
respective spacer, situated on the rear of the
appliance (see also the
installation leaflet).

4. Seal the gaps using the plastic plugs provided.

5. Keep all the parts: you will need them again
if the washing machine needs to be moved to
another location.
! Packaging materials are not childrens toys.
Levelling
Your machine may make a considerable amount
of noise if the two front feet have not been adjusted correctly.
1. Install the washing machine on a flat sturdy
floor, without resting it up against walls, furniture
cabinets or other.
2. If the floor is not perfectly level, compensate
for any unevenness by
tightening or loosening
the adjustable front feet
(see figure); the angle
of inclination, measured according to the
worktop, must not exceed 2.
Levelling your appliance
correctly will provide it with stability and avoid any

vibrations, noise and shifting during operation. If

it is placed on a fitted or loose carpet, adjust the
feet in such a way as to allow enough room for
ventilation beneath the washing machine.

Electric and water connections

Connecting the water inlet hose

! The water pressure at the tap must be within
the values indicated in the Technical details
table (on the page 5).
! If the water inlet hose is not long enough,
contact a specialist store or an authorised
serviceman.
! Ensure that the supply taps are allowing water through. Old taps may seize in the closed
position and thus prevent water reaching the
machine.

! We advise against the use of hose extensions; in

case of absolute need, the extension must have the
same diameter as the original hose and must not
exceed 150 cm in length. Ensure that if the drain
hose is pushed into a standpipe, that the end does
not go down more than 15cms (6 inches). If the hose
is pushed down too far, this may cause the machine
to self -syphon ie. continuously empty as it is filling.
Electric connection
Before plugging the appliance into the mains
socket, make sure that:
the socket is earthed and in compliance with
the applicable law;
the socket is able to sustain the appliances
maximum power load indicated on the Technical
Data Plate fixed on the machine;

the supply voltage is included within the values

indicated on the Technical Data Plate fixed on
the machine.
the socket is compatible with the washing
machines plug. If this is not the case, replace
the socket or the plug.
Your appliance is now supplied with a 13 amp fused plug it can be plugged into a 13 amp socket
for immediate use. Before using the appliance
please read the instructions below.
WARNING - THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED.
THE FOLLOWING OPERATIONS SHOULD BE
CARRIED OUT BY A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN.
Replacing the fuse:
When replacing a faulty fuse, a 13 amp ASTA
approved fuse to BS 1362 should always be
used, and the fuse cover re-fitted. If the fuse
cover is lost, the plug must not be used until a
replacement is obtained.
Replacement fuse covers:
If a replacement fuse cover is fitted, it must be of
the correct colour as indicated by the coloured
marking or the colour that is embossed in words
on the base of the plug. Replacements can be
obtained directly from your nearest Service Depot.
Removing the plug:
If your appliance has a non-rewireable moulded
plug and you should wish to re-route the mains
cable through partitions, units etc., please ensure that either:
the plug is replaced by a fused 13 ampere rewireable plug bearing the BSI mark of approval.
or:
the mains cable is wired directly into a 13 amp
cable outlet, controlled by a switch, (in compliance with BS 5733) which is accessible without
moving the appliance.
Disposing of the plug:
Ensure that before disposing of the plug itself,
you make the pins unusable so that it cannot be
accidentally inserted into a socket.
Instructions for connecting cable to an alternative plug:
Important: the wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:

As the colours of the wires in the lead may not

correspond with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as
follows:
Connect Green & Yellow wire to terminal
marked E or or coloured Green or Green &
Yellow.
Connect Brown wire to terminal marked L or
coloured Red.
Connect Blue wire to terminal marked N or coloured Black.
If a 13 amp plug (BS 1363) is used it must be
fitted with a 13 amp fuse, either in the plug or
adaptor or at the distribution board.
If you are in any doubt regarding the electrical
supply to your machine, consult a qualified
electrician before use.
How to connect an alternative plug:
The wires in this mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code:

! The power supply cable must only be replaced by an authorised serviceman.

The first wash cycle

Once the appliance has been installed, and
before you use it for the first time, run a wash
cycle with detergent and no laundry, using the
wash cycle 1.

Disposing of the appliance:

When disposing of the appliance please remove the plug by cutting the mains cable as
close as possible to the plug body and dispose of it as described above.
! The washing machine should not be installed
in an outdoor environment, not even where
the area is sheltered, because it may be very
dangerous to leave it exposed to damp, rain
and thunderstorms.
! When the washing machine is installed, the
mains socket must be within easy reach.
! Do not use extensions or multiple sockets.
! The power supply cable must never be bent
or dangerously compressed.

Cutting off the water and electricity supplies

Turn off the water tap after every wash cycle.

This will limit wear on the hydraulic system
inside the washing machine and help to prevent leaks.
Unplug the washing machine when cleaning
it and during all maintenance work.

trickle out. This is
perfectly normal;

Cleaning the washing machine

The outer parts and rubber components of the

appliance can be cleaned using a soft cloth
soaked in lukewarm soapy water. Do not use
solvents or abrasives.

Cleaning the detergent dispenser

Remove the dispenser
by raising it and pulling it out (see figure).
Wash it under running
water; this operation
should be repeated
frequently.

3. clean the inside thoroughly;

4. screw the lid back on;
5. reposition the panel, making sure the hooks
are securely in place before you push it onto
the appliance.

Checking the water inlet hose

Check the inlet hose at least once a year. If

there are any cracks, it should be replaced
immediately: during the wash cycles, water
pressure is very strong and a cracked hose
could easily split open.
! Never use second-hand hoses.

Caring for the door and drum of

your appliance

Always leave the porthole door ajar in order

to prevent unpleasant odours from forming.

Cleaning the pump

The washing machine is fitted with a self-cleaning pump which does not require any maintenance. Sometimes, small items (such as
coins or buttons) may fall into the pre-chamber
which protects the pump, situated in its bottom part.
! Make sure the wash cycle has finished and
unplug the appliance.
To access the prechamber:
1. using a screwdriver, remove the cover
panel on the lower
front part of the washing machine (see
figure);

Precautions and tips

! This washing machine was designed and constructed in
accordance with international safety regulations. The following information is provided for safety reasons and must
therefore be read carefully.

Consumers should contact their local authority or

retailer for information concerning the correct
disposal of their old appliance.

General safety
This appliance was designed for domestic use only.
This appliance can be used by children aged

from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities
or lack of experience and knowledge if they
have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way
and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made
by children without supervision.

Do not touch the machine when barefoot or with wet or

damp hands or feet.
Do not pull on the power supply cable when unplugging
the appliance from the electricity socket. Hold the plug
and pull.
Do not open the detergent dispenser drawer while the
machine is in operation.
Do not touch the drained water as it may reach extremely high temperatures.
Never force the porthole door. This could damage the
safety lock mechanism designed to prevent accidental
opening.
If the appliance breaks down, do not under any circumstances access the internal mechanisms in an attempt
to repair it yourself.
Always keep children well away from the appliance while
it is operating.
The door can become quite hot during the wash cycle.
If the appliance has to be moved, work in a group of two
or three people and handle it with the utmost care. Never
try to do this alone, because the appliance is very heavy.
Before loading laundry into the washing machine, make
sure the drum is empty.

Disposal
Disposing of the packaging materials: observe local
regulations so that the packaging may be re-used.
The European Directive 2012/19/EU - WEEE on Waste
Electrical and Electronic Equipment, requires that
old household electrical appliances must not be
disposed of in the normal unsorted municipal waste
stream. Old appliances must be collected separately
in order to optimise the recovery and recycling of the
materials they contain and reduce the impact on human
health and the environment. The crossed out wheeled
bin symbol on the product reminds you of your obliga-
tion, that when you dispose of the appliance it must be
separately collected.

Detergent dispenser drawer: used to dispense

detergents and washing additives (see Detergents and
laundry).
ON/OFF button: switches the washing machine on and
off.
WASH CYCLE knob: used to set the desired wash cycle
(see Table of wash cycles).
FUNCTION buttons with indicator light: used to select the
available functions. The indicator light corresponding to the
selected function will remain lit.
TEMPERATURE knob: sets the temperature or the cold
wash cycle (see Personalisation).
SPIN SPEED knob: sets the spin speed or exclude the
spin cycle completely (see Personalisation).
DISPLAY: used to view the duration of the various cycles
available and the remaining time of a cycle in progress;
if the DELAY TIMER option has been selected, the
countdown to the start of the selected cycle will appear.
DELAY TMER button : press to set a delayed start
time for the selected wash cycle. The delay time will be
shown on the display.

monitor the progress of the wash cycle.
The illuminated indicator light shows which phase is in
progress.
DOOR LOCKED indicator light: indicates whether the
door may be opened or not (see next page).
START/PAUSE button with indicator light: starts or temporarily interrupts the wash cycles.
N.B. To pause the wash cycle in progress, press this
button; the corresponding indicator light will flash orange,
while the indicator light for the current wash cycle phase
will remain lit in a fixed manner. If the DOOR LOCKED
indicator light is switched off, the door may be opened.
To start the wash cycle from the point at which it was interrupted, press this button again.
Standby mode
This washing machine, in compliance with new energy saving regulations, is fitted with an automatic standby system
which is enabled after about 30 minutes if no activity is
detected. Press the ON-OFF button briefly and wait for the
machine to start up again.

Indicator lights
The indicator lights provide important information.
This is what they can tell you:
Wash cycle phase indicator lights
Once the desired wash cycle has been selected and has
begun, the indicator lights switch on one by one to indicate
which phase of the cycle is currently in progress.

Door locked indicator light

When the indicator light is on, the porthole door is locked
to prevent it from being opened; make sure the indicator
light is off before opening the door (wait approximately 3
minutes). To open the door during a running wash cycle,
press the START/PAUSE button; the door may be opened
once the DOOR LOCKED indicator light turns off.

When a function is selected, the corresponding indicator
light will illuminate.
If the selected function is not compatible with the programmed wash cycle, the corresponding indicator light will flash
and the function will not be activated.
If the selected function is not compatible with another
function which has been selected previously, the indicator
light corresponding to the first function selected will
flash and only the second function will be activated; the
indicator light corresponding to the enabled option will
remain lit.

Starting a wash cycle

1. Switch the washing machine on by pressing the ON/OFF button. All indicator lights will switch on for a few seconds, then
they will switch off and the START/PAUSE indicator light will pulse.
2. Load the laundry and close the door.
3. Set the WASH CYCLE knob to the desired programme.
4. Set the washing temperature (see Personalisation).
5. Set the spin speed (see Personalisation).
6. Measure out the detergent and washing additives (see Detergents and laundry).
7. Select the desired functions.
8. Start the wash cycle by pressing the START/PAUSE button and the corresponding indicator light will remain lit in a fixed
manner, in green.
To cancel the set wash cycle, pause the machine by pressing the START/PAUSE button and select a new cycle.
9. At the end of the wash cycle the
indicator light will switch on. The door can be opened once the DOOR LOCK indicator light turns off. Take out your laundry and leave the appliance door ajar to make sure the drum dries completely. Switch
the washing machine off by pressing the ON/OFF button.

The length of cycle shown on the display is an estimation only and is calculated assuming standard working conditions. The actual duration can vary
according to factors such as water temperature and pressure, the amount of detergent used, the amount and type of load inserted, load balancing
and any wash options selected.
For all Test Institutes:
1) Test wash cycle in compliance with regulation 1061/2010: set wash cycle 2 with a temperature of 60C.
This cycle is designed for cotton loads with a normal soil level and is the most efficient in terms of both electricity and water consumption; it should be
used for garments which can be washed at 60C. The actual washing temperature may differ from the indicated value.
2) Test wash cycle in compliance with regulation 1061/2010: set wash cycle 3 with a temperature of 40C.
This cycle is designed for cotton loads with a normal soil level and is the most efficient in terms of both electricity and water consumption; it should be
used for garments which can be washed at 40C. The actual washing temperature may differ from the indicated value.
3) Long wash cycle for cottons: set wash cycle 3 with a temperature of 40C.
4) Synthetic program along: set wash cycle 4 with a temperature of 40C.

Personalisation
Setting the temperature

Turn the TEMPERATURE knob to set the wash temperature (see Table of wash cycles).
The temperature may be lowered, or even set to a cold wash .
The washing machine will automatically prevent you from selecting a temperature which is higher than the maximum value
set for each wash cycle.

Setting the spin speed

Turn the SPIN SPEED knob to set the spin speed for the selected wash cycle.
The maximum spin speeds available for each wash cycle are as follows:

The spin speed may be lowered, or the spin cycle can be excluded altogether by selecting the symbol
.
The washing machine will automatically prevent you from selecting a spin speed which is higher than the maximum speed
set for each wash cycle.

Functions
The various wash functions available with this washing machine will help to achieve the desired results, every time.
To activate the functions:
1. Press the button corresponding to the desired function;
2. the function is enabled when the corresponding indicator light is illuminated.
Note:
- If the selected function is not compatible with the programmed wash cycle, the corresponding indicator light will flash and
the function will not be activated.
- If the selected function is not compatible with another function which has been selected previously, the indicator light
corresponding to the first function selected will flash and only the second function will be activated; the indicator light corresponding to the enabled option will remain lit.
Delay timer
To set a delayed start for the selected programme, press the corresponding button repeatedly until the required delay period
has been reached. When this option is enabled, the
symbol lights up on the display. To remove the delayed start option
press the button until the text OFF appears on the display.

Selecting this option enables you to suitably adjust drum rotation, temperature and water to a reduced load of lightly soiled
cotton and synthetic fabrics (refer to the Table of wash cycles).
enables you to wash in less time thereby saving
water and electricity. We suggest using a liquid detergent suitably measured out to the load quantity.

The
function saves energy by not heating the water used to wash your laundry - an advantage both to the
environment and to your energy bill. Instead, intensified wash action and water optimisation ensure great wash results in the
same average time of a standard cycle.
For the best washing results we recommend the usage of a liquid detergent.

Detergent dispenser drawer

Good washing results also depend on the correct dose of
detergent: adding too much detergent will not necessarily result in a more efficient wash, and may in fact cause
build up on the inside of your appliance and contribute to
environmental pollution.

! Do not use hand washing detergents because these

create too much foam.

! Use powder detergent for white cotton garments, for prewashing, and for washing at temperatures over 60C.

! Follow the instructions given on the detergent packaging.

Open the detergent dispenser drawer and pour

in the detergent or washing
additive, as follows.

! Do not pour detergent into the compartment 1.

Detergent should only be poured into the compartment 2.
compartment 2: Detergent for the wash cycle
(powder or liquid)
Liquid detergent should only be poured in immediately
prior to the start of the wash cycle.
compartment 3: Additives (fabric softeners, etc.)
The fabric softener should not overflow the grid.

Preparing the laundry

Divide the laundry according to:
- the type of fabric/the symbol on the label
- the colours: separate coloured garments from whites.
Empty all garment pockets and check the buttons.
Do not exceed the values listed in the Table of wash
cycles, which refer to the weight of the laundry when dry.
How much does your laundry weigh?

Garments requiring special care

The 20 wash cycles (Zone 20) offer effective washing
performance at low temperatures, reducing electricity
usage and expenditure while benefitting the environment.
The 20 wash cycles meet all requirements:

Cotton Standard (programme 6) ideal for lightly soiled

cotton loads. The effective performance levels achieved
at cold temperatures, which are comparable to washing
at 40, are guaranteed by a mechanical action which
operates at varying speed, with repeated and frequent
peaks.
Mix Light (programme 7) ideal for mixed loads (cotton
and synthetics) with a normal soil level. The effective
performance levels achieved at cold temperatures are
guaranteed by a mechanical action which operates at
varying speed, across set average intervals.
20 Refresh (programme 8) ideal for refreshing and
washing lightly soiled garments in a few minutes. It lasts
just 20 minutes and therefore saves both time and energy.
It can be used to wash different types of fabrics together
(except for wool and silk), with a maximum load of 1.5 kg.
Outwear (wash cycle 9): is studied for washing waterrepellent fabrics and winter jackets (e.g. Gore-Tex, polyester,
nylon); for best results, use a liquid detergent and dosage
suitable for a half-load; pre-treat necks, cuffs and stains if
necessary; do not use softeners or detergents containing
softeners. Stuffed duvets cannot be washed with this programme.
Wool: all wool garments can be washed using programme
10, even those carrying the hand-wash only
label. For
best results, use special detergents and do not exceed 1,5 kg
of laundry.
Jeans: Turn garments inside-out before washing and use a
liquid detergent. Use programme 11.
Sport Intensive (programma 12): is for washing heavily
soiled sports clothing fabrics (tracksuits, shorts, etc.); for
best results, we recommend not exceeding the maximum
load indicated in the Programme table.
Sport Light (programma 13): is for washing lightly soiled
sports clothing fabrics (tracksuits, shorts, etc.); for best
results, we recommend not exceeding the maximum load
indicated in the Programme table. We recommend using
a liquid detergent and dosage suitable for a half-load.
Special Shoes (programma 14): is for washing sports
shoes; for best results, do not wash more than 2 pairs simultaneously.

Load balancing system

Before every spin cycle, to avoid excessive vibrations and

to distribute the load in a uniform manner, the drum rotates
continuously at a speed which is slightly greater than the
washing rotation speed. If, after several attempts, the load is
not balanced correctly, the machine spins at a reduced spin
speed. If the load is excessively unbalanced, the washing machine performs the distribution process instead of spinning.
To encourage improved load distribution and balance, we
recommend small and large garments are mixed in the load.

Troubleshooting
Your washing machine could fail to work. Before contacting the Technical Assistance Centre (see Assistance), make sure
that the problem cannot be solved easily using the following list.

The machine does not switch on.

The appliance is not plugged into the socket fully, or not enough to make contact.
There is no power to the socket, or the fuse has blown in the mains plug.

The wash cycle does not start.

The door is not closed properly.

The ON/OFF button has not been pressed.
The START/PAUSE button has not been pressed.
The water tap has not been turned on to allow water to flow into the machine.
A delayed start has been set.

The machine does not fill with

water or H2O will flash on the
display.

The water inlet hose is kinked.

The water inlet hose is not connected to the water supply.
The water pressure is too low.
The water tap has not been turned on to allow water to flow into the machine.
There is no water supply to the house.
The inlet valve filter is blocked.
The START/PAUSE button has not been pressed.

The machine continuously fills with

water and continually drains away
or Water left in the drum
or Stuck on wash.

The top of the drain hose is too low - It must be fitted at a height between 65
and 100 cm from the floor (see Installation).
The drain hose is connected incorrectly to the sink trap allowing water to run
into the machine, the drain hose must be positioned higher than the bottom of
the sink to prevent water flowing down the drain hose.
The end of the drain hose has been pushed too far down the standpipe, the
U bracket should be fitted 100 mm from the end of the drain hose.

The machine does not drain or spin

or F05 error code in the display.

The Pump filter is blocked.

The drain hose is kinked (see Installation).
New Installation - The blanking cap or spigot has not been removed if
connected under a sink.
The drain hose or sink trap is blocked.
The wash cycle does not include draining, some wash cycles require the drain
phase to be started manually.
The Spin Speed selector knob is in the position.

The machine does not heat or poor

wash results.

The Temperature selector knob is in the position.

The programme takes too long

or The Display changes the
estimated Time to End during the
programme.

Programme times will vary due to water pressure, the incoming water temperature and if the wash load goes out of balance. This will increase the programme
times accordingly (see The machine wont spin properly next page).

The machine vibrates a lot during

the spin cycle.

The feet have not been adjusted, enabling the machine to rock.
New Installation - Either the Transit Bolts including the plastic spacers, or the
Polystyrene Packaging have not been removed when installing the machine.
The machine is trapped between cabinets and/or walls.
The load is in a slight out of balance condition and machine is spinning, but at
a lower speed.

The machine is noisy.

There will always be some motor, pump and drum noise during spin.

The machine wont spin properly.

Out of Balance detected when attempting to go into a spin cycle - If this

happens the machine will continue to try to repeat the distribution of the load
required before the machine will go into higher spin speeds - This will increase
the programme time accordingly. This is a safety feature to prevent damage.
Out of Balance can be caused by washing a single heavy item (eg duvet, quilt,
etc). - Try the programme again using a different load.

The machine leaks from the

dispenser.

The dispenser drawer is blocked with detergent and requires cleaning.

The water pressure is too high and requires turning down - turn down the tap
on the water supply pipe slightly and try again.
The machine is tilting forwards - It must be level when in its final position.

The machine leaks (other than

dispenser).

The fill hose is loose, check both the cabinet and tap ends.
The fill hose is tight but still leaks, if so replace the rubber washers, or the fill
hose is missing the rubber washer.
The drain hose is not fixed in properly.

The indicator lights on the console

are flashing rapidly.

Switch off the machine and unplug it, wait for approximately 1 minute and then
switch it back on again If the problem persists contact the Technical Assistance
Service.

The machine smells.

The machine requires a service wash. Run a 90 degree wash cycle with detergent and no laundry.

The machine door cannot be

opened.

The door will not open until the door lock indicator light goes out shortly after
the program has finished.

Door Seal damaged at the bottom.

The door seal has drainage holes at the bottom - This is normal.

The water level is too low when

the machine is washing.

The water level is correct if it can be seen at the bottom of the door.

There is too much foam.

The detergent is not suitable for machine washing (it should display the text
for washing machines or hand and machine wash or the like).
Too much detergent was used - less detergent is required in soft water.

After completing the programme,

or before starting a programme,
the machine has turned itself off
(no lights).

To comply with new energy saving regulations the machine is fitted with an
automatic standby system. Press ON/OFF button for 3 seconds to activate
the machine, it can then either be switched off or a new programme selected.

General.

Your washing machine contains sensors that monitor progress during the wash
cycle (eg: Water Levels, Temperatures, Out of Balance loads, Wash time/progress).
Normally, if your machine successfully completes the cycle, there is unlikely to
be anything wrong!

Remember, you will be charged for a service call for problems caused by incorrect installation, as indicated on pages 2 to 4.
Not emptying contents from pockets may cause pump or drain blockages, or may damage the machine.
Do not wash items which do not have a wash label, or wash items that are not intended as machine washable.

Dballage et mise niveau

Dballage
1. Dballer le lave-linge.
2. Contrler que le lave-linge na pas t endommag pendant le transport. Sil est abm,
ne pas le raccorder et contacter le vendeur.
3. Enlever les 4 vis
de protection servant
au transport, le caoutchouc et la cale,

Une bonne mise niveau garantit la stabilit

de lappareil et vite quil y ait des vibrations,
du bruit et des dplacements en cours de
fonctionnement. Si la machine est pose sur
de la moquette ou un tapis, rgler les pieds de
manire ce quil y ait suffisamment despace
pour assurer une bonne ventilation.

Raccordements eau et lectricit

Raccordement du tuyau darrive de leau
1. Reliez le tuyau dalimentation en le vissant
un robinet deau froide embout filet 3/4
gaz (voir figure).
Faire couler leau jusqu ce quelle soit
limpide et sans impurets avant de raccorder.

la tension dalimentation est bien comprise

lave-linge. Autrement, remplacez la prise ou
la fiche.
Votre lectromnager dispose prsent dune
fiche moule 13 ampres qui peut tre branche dans une prise compatible pour utilisation immdiate. Veuillez lire les instructions
suivantes avant dutiliser votre lectromnager.

Remplacement du fusible:
En cas de remplacement dun fusible dfectueux, utilisez toujours des fusibles de 13 ampres ASTA conformes au standard BS1362
et remontez le couvercle du fusible. Si vous
avez perdu le couvercle du fusible, nutilisez
pas la fiche tant que la pice manquante naura pas t remplace.
Couvercles des fusibles:
Si vous remplacez le couvercle du fusible,
veillez ce que sa couleur soit bien celle qui
est indique par le code ou lindication colore
la base de la fiche. Pour toute pice dtache, adressez-vous directement au centre
dassistance technique le plus proche de chez
vous.
Dmontage de la fiche:
Si llectromnager est quip dune fiche incorpore qui ne peut pas tre cble nouveau et sil faut faire passer le cble travers des
divisions, des units, etc. contrlez que:
la fiche est bien remplace par une autre
cblable nouveau de 13 ampres portant la
marque BSI
ou bien:
que le cble est bien raccord directement
la prise de 13 ampres, contrle par un interrupteur (conforme BS 5733) accessible sans
quil faille dplacer llectromnager.
Elimination de la fiche:
Avant dliminer la fiche, rendez les broches
inutilisables de manire ce que la fiche ne
puisse pas tre branche accidentellement
dans une prise.

Coupure de larrive deau et du

courant

Fermer le robinet de leau aprs chaque

lavage. Cela rduit lusure de linstallation
hydraulique du lave-linge et vite tout danger
de fuites.
Dbrancher la fiche de la prise de courant
lors de tout nettoyage du lave-linge et pendant tous les travaux dentretien.

Nettoyage du lave-linge

Pour nettoyer lextrieur et les parties en caoutchouc, utiliser un chiffon imbib deau tide et
de savon. Nutiliser ni solvants ni abrasifs.

Nettoyage du tiroir produits lessiviels

Soulever le tiroir et
le tirer vers soi pour
le sortir de son logement (voir figure).
Le laver leau courante; effectuer cette opration assez
souvent.

Entretien du hublot et du tambour

Il faut toujours laisser le hublot entrouvert
pour viter la formation de mauvaise odeurs.

Nettoyage de la pompe

Le lave-linge est quip dune pompe autonettoyante qui nexige aucune opration dentretien. Il peut toutefois arriver que de menus
objets (pices de monnaie, boutons) tombent
dans la prchambre qui protge la pompe,
place en bas de cette dernire.
! Sassurer que le cycle de lavage est bien
termin et dbrancher la fiche.
Pour accder cette prchambre:
1. dmonter le panneau situ lavant
du lave-linge laide
dun tournevis (voir
figure);

2. dvisser le couvercle en le tournant

dans le sens inverse
des aiguilles dune

Contrler le tuyau dalimentation au moins

une fois par an. Procder son remplacement
en cas de craqulements et de fissures: car
les fortes pressions subies pendant le lavage
pourraient provoquer des cassures.
! Nutiliser que des tuyaux neufs.

! Ce lave-linge a t conu et fabriqu conformment aux
normes internationales de scurit. Ces consignes sont
fournies pour des raisons de scurit, il faut les lire attentivement.

Scurit gnrale
Cet appareil est conu pour un usage domestique.
Cet

appareil peut tre utilis par les enfants

partir de 8 ans et par les personnes dont les
capacits physiques, sensorielles ou mentales sont rduites ou qui ne disposent pas des
connaissances suffisantes, condition quils
soient encadrs ou aient t forms de faon
approprie pour lutilisation de lappareil de
faon sre et en comprenant les dangers qui
y sont lis. Les enfants ne doivent pas jouer
avec lappareil. Lentretien et le nettoyage
ne doivent pas tre effectus par les enfants
sans surveillance.

Les appareils usags doivent tre collects sparment

afin doptimiser le taux de rcupration et le recyclage
des matriaux qui les composent et rduire limpact sur
la sant humaine et lenvironnement. Le symbole de
la poubelle barre est appose sur tous les produits
pour rappeler les obligations de collecte spare. Les
consommateurs devront contacter les autorits locales
ou leur revendeur concernant la dmarche suivre pour
lenlvement de leur vieil appareil.

Ce lave-linge ne doit tre utilis que par des adultes en

suivant les instructions reportes dans ce mode demploi.
Ne jamais toucher lappareil si lon est pieds nus et si les
mains sont mouilles ou humides.
Ne jamais tirer sur le cble pour dbrancher la fiche de la
prise de courant.
Ne pas ouvrir le tiroir produits lessiviels si la machine
est branche.
Ne pas toucher leau de vidange, elle peut atteindre
des tempratures trs leves.
Ne pas forcer pour ouvrir le hublot: le verrouillage de
scurit qui protge contre les ouvertures accidentelles
pourrait sendommager.
En cas de panne, viter tout prix daccder aux mcanismes internes pour tenter une rparation.
Veiller ce que les enfants ne sapprochent pas de lappareil pendant son fonctionnement.
Pendant le lavage, le hublot a tendance se rchauffer.
Deux ou trois personnes sont ncessaires pour dplacer
lappareil avec toutes les prcautions ncessaires. Ne
jamais le dplacer tout seul car il est trs lourd.
Avant dintroduire le linge, sassurer que le tambour est
bien vide.

Mise au rebut
Mise au rebut du matriel demballage: se conformer aux
rglementations locales de manire ce que les emballages puissent tre recycls.
La Directive Europenne 2012/19/EU (WEEE) sur les
Dchets des Equipements Electriques et Electroniques,
exige que les appareils mnagers usags ne soient pas

AFFICHEUR: pour afficher la dure des diffrents programmes disponibles et, une fois le cycle lanc, le temps
restant jusqu la fin du programme. Si un DPART DIFFR a t slectionn, le temps restant avant le dmarrage du programme slectionn est affich.
Touche DPART DIFFR : appuyer sur cette touche
pour slectionner un dpart diffr pour le programme
choisi. Le retard est affich lcran.
Voyants DROULEMENT CYCLE: pour suivre le stade
davancement du programme de lavage.
Le voyant allum indique la phase de lavage en cours.

Stand-by
Ce lave-linge, conformment aux nouvelles normes en
vigueur dans le domaine de lconomie dnergie, est quipe dun systme dextinction automatique (veille) activ
aprs 30 minutes environ dinutilisation. Appuyez brivement sur la touche ON/OFF et attendre que la machine soit
ractive.

Une fois que le cycle de lavage slectionn a dmarr,
les voyants sallument progressivement pour indiquer son
stade davancement:

Voyant hublot verrouill

Le voyant allum indique que le hublot est verrouill pour
en empcher louverture. Attendre que le voyant cesse de
clignoter avant douvrir la porte (3 minutes environ). Pour
ouvrir le hublot tandis quun cycle est en cours, appuyer
sur la touche START/PAUSE ; si le voyant HUBLOT VERROUILL est teint, on peut ouvrir le hublot.

Dmarrage dun programme

1. Allumer le lave-linge en appuyant sur la touche ON/OFF. Tous les voyants sallument pendant quelques secondes puis
steignent, seul le voyant START/PAUSE flashe.
2. Charger le linge et fermer le hublot.
3. Slectionner laide du bouton PROGRAMMES le programme dsir.
4. Slectionner la temprature de lavage (voir Personnalisations).
5. Slectionner la vitesse dessorage (voir Personnalisations).
6. Verser les produits lessiviels et les additifs (voir Produits lessiviels et linge).
7. Slectionner les fonctions dsires.
8. Appuyer sur la touche START/PAUSE pour dmarrer le programme, le voyant correspondant vert restera allum en fixe. Pour
annuler le cycle slectionn, appuyer sur la touche START/PAUSE pour placer lappareil en pause et choisir un nouveau cycle.
9. A la fin du programme, le voyant END sallume. Quand le voyant HUBLOT VERROUILL steint, on peut ouvrir le hublot (3
minutes environ). Sortir le linge et laisser le hublot entrouvert pour faire scher le tambour. Eteindre le lave-linge en appuyant sur la
touche ON/OFF.

Programmes partiaux

La dure du cycle indique sur lcran ou dans la notice reprsente une estimation calcule dans des conditions standard. Le temps effectif peut varier en fonction de nombreux facteurs tels que :
temprature et pression de leau en entre, temprature ambiante, quantit de lessive, quantit et type de charge, quilibrage de la charge, options supplmentaires slectionnes.

1) Programme de contrle selon la rglements 1061/2010: slectionner le programme 2 et une temprature de 60C.
Ce cycle convient au lavage dune charge de coton normalement sale et cest le plus performant en termes de consommation deau et dnergie, lutiliser pour du linge
lavable 60C. La temprature effective de lavage peut diffrer de la temprature indique.

Personnalisations
Slection de la temprature
Tourner le bouton TEMPRATURE pour slectionner la temprature de lavage (voir Tableau des programmes).
La temprature peut tre abaisse jusquau lavage froid ( ).
La machine interdira automatiquement toute slection dune temprature suprieure la temprature maximale prvue pour
chaque programme.

Slection de lessorage
Tourner le bouton ESSORAGE pour slectionner la vitesse dessorage du programme slectionn.
Les vitesses maximales prvues pour les programmes sont:

La vitesse dessorage peut tre rduite ou lessorage supprim en slectionnant le symbole
.
La machine interdira automatiquement tout essorage une vitesse suprieure la vitesse maximale prvue pour chaque
programme.

Fonctions
Les diffrentes fonctions de lavage prvues par le lave-linge permettent dobtenir la propret et le blanc souhaits.
Pour activer les fonctions:
1. appuyer sur la touche correspondant la fonction dsire;
2. lallumage du voyant correspondant signale que la fonction est active.
Remarque:
- Si la fonction slectionne est incompatible avec le programme slectionn, le voyant correspondant se met clignoter et
la fonction nest pas active.
- Si lfonction slectionne est incompatible avec une autre fonction prcdemment slectionne, le voyant correspondant
la premire fonction se met clignoter et seule la deuxime fonction est active, le voyant de la touche sallume au fixe.
Dpart diffr
Pour programmer le dpart diffr dun programme slectionn, appuyer sur la touche correspondante jusqu ce que le
retard dsir soit atteint. Quand cette option est active, le symbole
saffiche lcran. Pour annuler le dpart diffr, appuyer sur la touche jusqu ce que linscription OFF saffiche lcran.

La slection de cette option permet doptimiser les mouvements mcaniques, la temprature et leau en fonction dune
charge rduite de coton et synthtiques peu sales (voir Tableau des programmes).

conomies considrables de temps et de consommations deau et dnergie. Il est conseill dutiliser une dose de lessive
liquide adapte la charge.

La fonction
h permet dconomiser lnergie puisque leau utilise pour la lessive nest pas rchauffe : un plus
pour lenvironnement et pour votre facture dlectricit. Laction renforce et loptimisation de la consommation de leau
garantissent dexcellents rsultats pour une dure moyenne identique celle dun cycle standard. Pour de meilleurs rsultats
en matire de lavage, utilisez une lessive liquide.

Tiroir produits lessiviels

Un bon rsultat de lavage dpend aussi dun bon dosage

de produit lessiviel: un excs de lessive ne lave pas mieux, il
incruste lintrieur du lave-linge et pollue lenvironnement.
! Ne pas utiliser de lessives pour lavage la main, elles
moussent trop.
! Utiliser des lessives en poudre pour du linge en coton
blanc et en cas de prlavage et de lavages une temprature suprieure 60C.
! Respecter les indications figurant sur le paquet de lessive.
Sortir le tiroir produits
lessiviels et verser la lessive
ou ladditif comme suit.

bac 1: Ne mettez pas de dtergent dans ce compartiment

bac 2: Lessive lavage (en poudre ou liquide)
Versez la lessive liquide juste avant la mise en marche.
bac 3: Additifs (adoucissant, etc.)
Lassouplissant ne doit pas dborder de la grille.
! Nutilisez pas de lessives pour lavage la main, elles
gnrent trop de mousse.

Triage du linge

Trier correctement le linge daprs:

- le type de textile / le symbole sur ltiquette.
- les couleurs: sparer le linge color du blanc.
Vider les poches et contrler les boutons.
Ne pas dpasser les valeurs indiques dans le Tableau
des programmes correspondant au poids de linge sec.
Combien pse le linge ?
1 drap 400-500 g
1 taie doreiller 150-200 g
1 nappe 400-500 g
1 peignoir 900-1200 g
1 serviette ponge 150-250 g

Linge ou vtements particuliers

Les programmes 20 (20 Zone) offrent de bonnes
performances de lavage aux basses tempratures avec
une consommation dlectricit rduite qui permet de faire
des conomies tout en respectant lenvironnement. Les
programmes 20 satisfont toutes les exigences:
Coton standard (programme 6) idal pour des charges de
linge sale en coton. Les bonnes performances, mme froid,
comparables celles dun lavage 40, sont assures grce
une action mcanique qui brasse en variant la vitesse et
avec des pics rpts et rapprochs.

Mix quotidien (programme 7) idal pour des charges mixtes

(coton et synthtiques) moyennement sales. Les bonnes
performances de lavage, mme froid, sont assures grce
une action mcanique qui brasse en variant la vitesse des
intervalles moyens et dtermins.
20 fracheur (programme 8) cycle idal pour rafrachir du
linge peu sale en quelques minutes.
Il ne dure que 20 minutes et permet ainsi de faire des
conomies de temps et dnergie. Il permet de laver
ensemble des textiles diffrents (sauf laine et soie) avec une
charge maximum de 1,5 kg.
Outwear (programme 9): est spcialement conu pour
laver des tissus hydrofuges et des anoraks (par ex.: goretex,
polyester, nylon); pour obtenir dexcellents rsultats, utilisez
une lessive liquide avec une dose pour la demi-charge;
prtraitez poignets, cols et taches; nutilisez ni assouplissants
ni dautres produits avec assouplissant. Avec ce programme
vous ne pouvez pas laver les duvets
Laine: grce au programme 10 vous pouvez laver la
machine tous vos vtements en laine, y compris ceux qui
portent ltiquette lavage la main uniquement
.
Pour obtenir dexcellents rsultats utilisez un produit lessiviel spcial et ne dpassez pas une charge de 1,5 kg.
Jeans: mettez les jeans lenvers avant de les laver et
utilisez une lessive liquide. Slectionnez le programme 11.
Sport Intensif (programme 12): est spcialement conu
pour laver des textiles vtements de sport (survtements,
shorts, etc.) trs sales; pour obtenir dexcellents rsultats
nous recommandons de ne pas dpasser la charge maximale
indique dans le Tableau des programmes.
Sport Lger (programme 13): est spcialement conu
pour laver des textiles vtements de sport (survtements,
shorts, etc.) peu sales; pour obtenir dexcellents rsultats
nous recommandons de ne pas dpasser la charge
maximale indique dans le Tableau des programmes. Nous
recommandons dutiliser de la lessive liquide, avec une dose
pour la demi-charge.
Baskets (programme 14): est spcialement conu pour
laver des chaussures de sport; pour obtenir dexcellents
rsultats nous recommandons de ne pas en laver plus de 2
paires la fois.

Systme dquilibrage de la charge

Avant tout essorage, pour viter toute vibration excessive et rpartir le linge de faon uniforme, le lave-linge fait
tourner le tambour une vitesse lgrement suprieure
la vitesse de lavage. Si au bout de plusieurs tentatives,
la charge nest toujours pas correctement quilibre,
lappareil procde un essorage une vitesse infrieure
la vitesse normalement prvue. En cas de dsquilibre
excessif, le lave-linge prfre procder la rpartition du
linge plutt qu son essorage. Pour une meilleure rpartition de la charge et un bon quilibrage, nous conseillons
de mlanger de grandes et petites pices de linge.

Anomalies et remdes
Il peut arriver que le lave-linge ne fonctionne pas bien. Avant dappeler le Service de dpannage (voir Assistance), contrler
sil ne sagit pas par hasard dun problme facile rsoudre laide de la liste suivante.

Anomalies:

Causes / Solutions possibles:

Le lave-linge ne sallume pas.

La fiche nest pas branche dans la prise de courant ou mal branche.

Il y a une panne de courant.

Le cycle de lavage ne dmarre pas.

Le hublot nest pas bien ferm.

La touche ON/OFF na pas t enfonce.
La touche START/PAUSE na pas t enfonce.
Le robinet de leau nest pas ouvert.
Un dpart diffr a t slectionn (voir Personnalisations).

Il ny a pas darrive deau (Il y aura

affichage du message H2O clignotant).

Le tuyau darrive de leau nest pas raccord au robinet.

Le tuyau est pli.
Le robinet de leau nest pas ouvert.
Il y a une coupure deau.
La pression nest pas suffisante.
La touche START/PAUSE na pas t enfonce.

Le lave-linge prend leau et vidange

continuellement.

Le tuyau de vidange nest pas install une distance du sol comprise entre 65
et 100 cm (voir Installation).
Lextrmit du tuyau de vidange est plonge dans leau (voir Installation).
Lvacuation murale na pas dvent.
Si aprs ces vrifications, le problme persiste, fermer le robinet de leau,
teindre la machine et appeler le service Assistance. Si lappartement est situ
en tage dans un immeuble, il peut y avoir des phnomnes de siphonnage qui
font que le lave-linge prend et vacue leau continuellement. Pour supprimer
cet inconvnient, on trouve dans le commerce des soupapes spciales antisiphonnage.

Le lave-linge ne vidange pas et

nessore pas.

Le programme ne prvoit pas de vidange: pour certains programmes, il faut la

faire partir manuellement.
Le tuyau de vidange est pli (voir Installation).
La conduite dvacuation est bouche.

Le lave-linge vibre beaucoup pendant lessorage.

Le tambour na pas t dbloqu comme il faut lors de linstallation du lavelinge (voir Installation).
Le lave-linge nest pas pos plat (voir Installation).
Le lave-linge est coinc entre des meubles et le mur (voir Installation).

Le lave-linge a des fuites.

Le tuyau darrive de leau nest pas bien viss (voir Installation).

Le tiroir produits lessiviels est bouch (pour le nettoyer voir Entretien et soin).
Le tuyau de vidange nest pas bien fix (voir Installation).

Les voyants des fonctions et le

voyant START/PAUSE clignotent.
Le voyant du phase de lavage et le
voyant hublot bloqu restent fixes.

Eteindre lappareil et dbrancher la fiche de la prise de courant, attendre 1

minute environ avant de rallumer.
Si lanomalie persiste, appeler le service dassistance.

Il y a un excs de mousse.

Le produit de lavage utilis nest pas une lessive spciale machine (il faut quil
y ait linscription pour lave-linge, main et machine, ou autre semblable).
La quantit utilise est excessive.

Vrifier si on ne peut pas rsoudre lanomalie par ses propres moyens (voir Anomalies et Remdes);
Remettre le programme en marche pour contrler si linconvnient a disparu;
Autrement, contacter le Centre dAssistance technique agr au numro de tlphone indiqu sur le certificat de garantie.

son numro de srie (S/N).
