SIZE
One size to fit 3-12 months.
MATERIALS
One 50g ball of Debbie Bliss Cotton DK Print in
Mosaic 06 (shown on top) or Bouquet 04 (shown
underneath).
4mm (US 6) short circular needle.
TENSION
20 sts and 28 rows to 10cm/4in square over stocking
stitch using 4mm (US 8) circular needle.
ABBREVIATIONS
dec = decrease; k = knit; st(s) stitches;
tog = together.
TO MAKE
With 4mm (US 6) circular needle, cast on 70 sts.
Taking care not to twist the cast on edge, join to work
in rounds, and place a marker to denote end of the
round.
Slipping the marker on every round, k 28 rounds.
1st dec round [K2tog, k8] 7 times. 63 sts.
K 3 rounds.
2nd dec round [K2 tog, k7] 7 times. 56 sts.
K 3 rounds.
3rd dec round [K2tog, k6] 7 times. 49 sts.
K 3 rounds.
4th dec round [K2tog, k5] 7 times. 42 sts.
K3 rounds.
5th dec round [K2tog] 21 times. 21 sts.
6th dec round K1, [k2tog] 10 times. 11 sts.
7th dec round K1, [k2tog] 5 times. 6 sts.

STALK
Slide the 6 sts to the other end of the needle and
pulling the yarn firmly from last st to first st, k6.
Rep the last row until stalk measures 2cm/3/4in.
Break yarn, thread yarn through sts, pull up and
secure.
