guardians.
I would use various strategies to communicate with parents. For
instance, I would talk to the parents in person when they dropping
off of picking up their children. I would discuss with them about the
childrens progress and interests. I would also use communication
book as a tool to build up a positive relationship with families. I
would record the communication books every day for each child.
The parents may read and sign when they come to pick up their
children. An effective and educational communication with parents
can include them in their childrens development and learning,
which is significant for childrens growth.

provide care and education to individuals, small groups and large

groups. They make ongoing decisions concerning childrens need for
support and assistance.
I would design and implement activities for both groups and
individuals. These activities will be based on their interests and
developmental needs. I could set up the environment for the whole
class to joining in an activity, such as singing, dancing, story sharing
and things like that. Small group activities are also necessary, which
may contain activities in all domains such as math learning
activities, science observation activities, and sensory exploration
activities.

3. Safe, Healthy & Supportive: A. Safe-1. Early Childhood

Educators maintain safe and healthy learning environments.
I would supervise both the children and the environment
frequently and consistently. I would inspect each play area and the
play materials before offering them to children. I would change the
broken toys and remove any loose parts form the toys to keep
children safe. I would clean the toys and shelves abiding by the day
care policy. All these strategies contribute to create the appropriate
environment supports childrens development.

4. Professional Knowledge & Competence: B. Practice-1. Early

Childhood Educators plan and develop play-based curricula and
programs along a continuum of early childhood development. They
plan and prepare a child-centred program that provides learning
opportunities for all the developmental domains. Early

Childhood

Educators provide individualized assistance and opportunities for

children to develop a sense of belonging to a group and provide safe
and secure supervision of children based on age and stage of
development.
I would create curriculum for children based on their interests. I
would support children to learn through play. I would combine
teacher-guided activities and child-guided activities. This will give
children the opportunity to improve self-esteem and leader skills. I
would scaffold children during their exploration when needed. I
would also encourage children to scaffold each other, which help
them practice social skills and problem solve abilities.

5. Professional Boundaries, Dual Relationships & Conflict of

Interests: A. Early Childhood Educators are in a position of power
and responsibility toward children under their professional
supervision. This necessitates that care be taken to ensure that
these children are protected from the abuse of such power during,
after, or referable to the provision of professional services-1. Early
Childhood Educators do not abuse physically, sexually, verbally,
psychologically or emotionally a child who is under the members
professional supervision.
I would supervise and take care of the children with professional
knowledge and skills. I would guide their behaviours and help them
develop problem solve abilities. I would take account of their
emotion state and cognitive development level when guiding their
challenging behaviors.

6. Confidentiality & Consent to Release of Information Regarding

Children & Their Families: A. Early Childhood Educators respect the
privacy of children under their professional supervision and the
families of those children by holding in strict confidence all
information about them and by complying with any applicable
privacy and other legislation. Early Childhood Educators disclose
such information only when required or allowed by law to do so or
4

when the necessary consent has been obtained for the disclosure of
the information-3. Early Childhood Educators employed by an
organization maintain a thorough understanding of the
organizations policies and practices relating to the management of
information.
I would be familiar with the policies of the daycare where I work
in. I would abide by the rules when design activities and teach
children. For example, I would strictly follow the child cares time
schedule to lead the program.
