RELATIVE CLAUSES: PEOPLE AND THINGS


We add relative clauses to the main clause to make clear which
person or thing we are talking about or to give extra information
about that person or thing. In these clauses we can use the
relative pronoun who, which or that.
We use THAT for people and things, mainly when speaking.
We use WHO for people (A person who/that).
We use WHICH for things (An object which/that).

He is an actor WHO/THAT He usually plays unusual characters.
Its a movie. It stars Leonardo di Caprio.
