Interconnection of MyPBX and Panasonic PABX

Introduction
Connect MyPBX with existing traditional PBX, enterprise could expand user capacity
and add VoIP, E1, GSM, CDMA, and UMTS connectivity to the system.
This guide shows you how to connect MyPBX with Panasonic traditional PBX TES824
and achieve the following features:
Reach Each Others Extensions
Calling from Panasonic through MyPBX trunks
Note: Before connecting MyPBX to the Panasonic PABX, please make sure that you
have installed O2 module, S2 module or SO module on MyPBX.

Description
MyPBX
Install an O2 module in slot 1: Port 1 and Port2 of MyPBX are FXO ports.
Install a S2 module in slot 2: Port 3 and Port 4 of MyPBX are FXS ports.
SIP Extension Range: 301-330
FXS Extension Range: 601-602.
601 for FXS Port 3, 602 for FXS Port 4.
Panasonic
Extension Range: 101-124

Reach Each Others Extensions


Making calls from Panasonic to MyPBX
Connect Panasonic CO port to MyPBX FXS port.
Making calls from MyPBX to Panasonic
Connect MyPBX FXO port to Panasonic Jack port
Step1. Plug on end of a telephone wire to JACK01 Port on Panasonic, and the other
end to FXO Port 1 on MyPBX.
Step2. Configure an outbound route on MyPBX.

Route Name: Define a name for the route, To_Panasonic.


Dial Pattern: 1XX

Member Extensions: select the extensions, allowing them to call to Panasonic.
Member Trunks: select the PSTN line that is connected to MyPBX Port 1.
Step3. The extensions selected on MyPBX can directly dial extensions of Panasonic
PABX now.
Step4. Link the CO1 of Panasonic and the FXS Port 5 of MyPBX with a telephone
wire.
Step5. Pick up analog phone which is connected to Panasonic, dial 81 to seize the
CO1 line that is connected with MyPBX. After hearing the dial tone, dial extension
number on MyPBX.
Note: To seize CO2 line on Panasonic, you should dial 82, and so on.

Calling from Panasonic through MyPBX trunks


After connecting Panasonic (CO port) and MyPBX (FXS port), users on Panasonic
could use MyPBX trunks to make external calls. Here we show to how to use MyPBX
SIP trunk to make calls from Panasonic.
Step1. Link the CO1 of Panasonic and the FXS Port 5 of MyPBX with a telephone
wire.
Step2. Create an Outbound Route on MyPBX.

Route Name: Define a name for the route, SIP_OUT.


Dial Pattern: 9. (do not forget the dot)
Strip: 1

Member Extensions: select the FXS extension, that the FXS port is connected to
Panasonic CO port.
Member Trunks: select a trunk to call out, here we choose a SIP trunk.
Step3. Now, pick up Panasonic extension, dial 81 to seize the CO1 line. After hearing
the dial tone, dial 9 and the external number.
