I started my practice 2008 in my town zagazig in Egypt with passion for perfection
and details. First i started as Endodontist and i was first dentist use microscop in
dentistry in my region. I finished my diploma in Endodontics 2010. attended many
courses national and international in Endodontics. And started after that give courses
in Endodontics. During my first five years practice i was not like composite totally
until 2 years ago after I attended styleitaliano event by Walter Devoto in Egypt. since then i am
following styleitaliano group and i am learning every day from such unique group. i took many
courses in composite with styleitaliano and David Clarck. now i am focusing my practice in
microscopic esthetic restorative dentistry using minimal invasive protocol starting from Endodontics
and end with final restoration.

After spending a lot of chairside time adjusting, finishing and polishing posterior restorations, I saw a
simple but effective way to restore posterior teeth with composite material. This is the microbrush
stamp technique. The purpose is to replicate occlusal anatomy by making a copy of the original
unprepared tooth structure to get perfect anatomy in few minutes.

before i place my matrix i try wedge to see its adaptation to cavity. in deep caries like this case i use
diamond wedge from (Bioclear Matrix) its unique design allow it to slips under margin and
completely adapted to it.

i like to use transparent matrix when it can be adapted as it allow for proximal curing from buccal
and lingual. in this case i used ( B - 302 ) matrix from Bioclear and V3 ring (Dentsply)

i do etch only on enamel surface and self etch ( single bond universal ) on dentin and enamel

build up proximal wall of second premolar using ( Filtek Z250 XT )

fill cavity with SDR bulk fill ( Dentsply )

build up proximal wall of first premolar

now place Teflon tap on occlusal surface of second premolar after fill cavity with composite then
using first stamp to adapt on Teflon

same occlusal anatomy before preparation with some satin

second stamp

copy of occlusal anatomy

After finishing and polishing with no need for occlusal adjustment

Conclusions
Occlusal stamp technique using index to form occlusal anatomy is faster no more trying to recreate
occlusal anatomy by hand Less layers of composite are used toward the occlusal surface. Less time
spent on making it look fancy. also we do not need special instrument to great anatomy. but is
restricted to teeth with intact occlusal anatomy.
