ACT I

MUSICAL NUMBER 1. WELCOME TO MALIBU.

Malibu, where the favirite and magic city of Barbie develops while the number
change of finish at school . One by one the friends of Barbie Appears, all the
characters involved in the play and at the same time we learn that they are
organizing the biggest fashion show in the history of Malibu. The last to appear
is Barbie and the number ends with a great general dancing around, setting the
stage for the show.
2. Barbie with her friends talk about the interest of this international fashion
parade with girls from all around the world. They are being prepared with the f
Barbies sisters and the best teachers in a summer fashion camp. Girls with
better grades and the most beloved by his friends were chosen.
3. MUSICAL NUMBER. As will be?
Barbie and each of his friends expressed how they want to be in that big
musical show, everyone wants different things but at the end the y are decided
that all ideas are good and better if they are linked all them all. The musical
number is a pastiche with different styles and rh ythms.
5. In a private phone call Barbie and her friends Theresa and Nikki also react
and dispose of the others and enter in the secret room of super spies team.
The Secret Chief tells them that the great Punjabs Ruby disappeared. The
agency needs their help. They try to explain that the y have a huge show to
produce but he sa ys that them have that obligation. That ruby is touring the
world to offer permanent shine to all mankind. He wait for them in exico where
he is going to introduce them another agents to help them.Barbie and her
friends try to organize to go but discovered one b y one that the friends of
Barbie and all are aware of that shje is a super sp y. Barbie is funny forced to
take them all. The journe y starts.
7. MUSICAL NUMBER. MEXICO.
In a biographical rh ythmic sketch Barbie and her friends discover Mexico City
visiting the main places and meeting people. The number ends with the
independence angel and fireworks.
8. The Secret Chief receives and presents them with the director of the fashion
museum where the diamond was stolen. She will give them the necessary

clothing for them planned fashion show if the y help them to regain the rub y.
While the others seek and know the costume museum, Barbie and her team y
learn how the ruby was robbery.
9. MUSICAL NUMBER. I CAN BE SPY
One of the Barbies friend. Giovanna that has red hair is determined to be a
sp y. Being in the musical number she get distracted and The y leave her.
Museum director asked her to investigate and work for her.
10. The Head Secret boss introduce Guadalupe and Jose, two young Mexican
agents to help Barbie in her mission. Philip one of Barbie's friends falls in love
with Guadalupe and sho she is. Each time they are at sight with each otrher
mariachi sounds sounds instrumentall y playing "I wake up again, inside your
arms." Theme that is always interrupted by someone else.
11. The y are divided into two teams and rush to investigate.
MUSICAL NUMBER 12.-. ADVENTURE IN MEXICO
Joseph goes with Ken and Philip to investigate jewelry buyers. Joseph tries to
teach them how to look Mexican and tries to teach them how to eat spicy, how
to put lemon on everything, and how to stand in a pesero without falling ( a
pesero is a kind of little bus that are famos because of their infamous wa y to
drive). Etc. Etc. (Comed y number)
13. MUSICAL ADVENTURE IN MEXICO (Reprise)
Mirror like Number than the previous version but in a fashion mood

and with

Barbie and her friends meeting the wonders of Mexico. (This number will be
adapted to each country) the number Ends dressed with stylized costumes to
Barbie.
15.- The Secret chief appears to tells them that the y are only hindering
investigations. Chastises Guadalupe and Jose and sends them to rest. Barbie
And hers team must concentrate on the hotel to go back to Malibu that very
night. As the news of the loss of the Ruby will be announced at the opening
that should be is at 7pm.
16. MUSICAL NUMBER AND NOW What?
Each and every one regret the situation and the failure of their mission but
Barbie sa ys that they should try again, if the y try it together the y can

accomplish the mission plus get all the costumes for their parade. The director
of the museum, she is the one that is sabotaging everything.

INTERMEDIATE.
SECOND ACT.
MUSICAL NUMBER 17.- LETS GET ORGANIZED
All of them begin to seek support with people who the y were acquainted.
Barbie shows them that it is good to have behaved well with others because
that makes them accounts with them when they are in the need to get out of a
problem.
18. A couple of hours before from the opening and having to leave for the
airport. Barbie and her friends recount tracks. Something is not quite right.
Suddenly Barbie has an idea. All get out for the opening.
MUSICAL NUMBER 18.- Think
Barbie sings as she arranges for the opening about the importance of having
friends and never give up. For every problem there is a solution.
19. Opening and explanation of theft when the museum's director of fashion
will give the bad news. Barbie interrupted. To the amazement of all she
explains that security measures were impossible to break. There was no way to
steal that jewel. Shee approaches the pedestal and after observing carefully
throws a bit of its shine spray and discover a button that turns the base where
Rub y was. This tour and ruby indeed is there. Realising the explanation is that
the director of the museum of fashion doesnt want to share the glow of ruby
with an yone. She Takes the gem. She tries to escape and suddenly, lightning,
explosion, effect. Rub y power turned her to stone. Barbie takes the Ruby
shining magicall y. All celebrate. Barbie wons the case but who would lend her
the clothes for her fashion show?. They leave with the intention to solve this
new adventure.
20.- Back in Malibu everything is ready except the locker room. The show is
about to start and appears Barbie.
MUSICAL NUMBER 21.-. YOU ARE THE STAR

Through a dynamic ticket hidden in the public seats in each one randomly will
be selected to blossom a certain number of girls in the audience at this time
Barbie explains them how to join in the great fashion show the cast joins as
Barbie in her song explains that the star is in yourself if you know how take
advantage of what you have. The cast performs the show with selected people
and when they return to the stage after returning audiences to their seats, the
number joins.
NUMBER 22.- FINAL PARTY WITH BARBIE
The whole compan y celebrates the success of the adventure. three giant balls
that are thrown away and bounce between the audience and the cast for a
huge finale that ends with a shower of pink glow over the entire audience.
SECOND TREATMENT
LOGLINE
The central concept of this second treatment is the journey into the world of
dreams of a girl to the perfect toy world of Barbie, looking for her help to do a
special homework. The dream will also get complications when her elder
brother enter in this dreamworld trying to block her. At the end everything will
have a happy resolution .
S YNOPSIS
ACT I
The curtain opens with a musical number which is interrupted by a child's voice
featuring Barbie ... Everything on stage are silhouettes with back lights. On the
top of the scenery there will be a screen that covers the top of the entire
stage.
The girl's mother interrupted. the screen lights up and we see the real world
from the point of view of the Barbie pla yhouse.
The girl tells her mom that she wants to make a fashion show in the school to
closing courses and is asking for help to Barbie and her friends.
The older brother of the girl enters mocking her hope and faith in Barbie. Mom
sends them to sleep.
MUSICAL NUMBER: MY IDEAL WORLD

In this song the Barbies house awakes, the friends of Barbie and toy world
arise, the hand of the girl puts Barbie in the Barbie house. Another Barbies
doll friend called Lupita (in this case because the show is in Mexico) It is the
"spirit" of the child in the doll. So this character should act like a child.
Lupita explains his desire to Barbie, Barbie and her friends have heard all and
accept to help but they need to go to where the real Malibu is. Lupita asks
Barbie How they will go there? Barbie answers that with the force of their
imagination, the world's greatest power.
MUSICAL NUMBER: MALIBU
In this song the stage is transformed into the idealized Barbies Malibu. She
and her friends Tessa and Nikki show to Lupita every wonderful spot in it.
Barbie presents who does not fully understand who is this new friend but also
agrees to help.
Barbie tells Lupita that a fashion show should have an idea a general concept.
Lupita sa ys that her friends at school are thinking what they want to become
and Barbie says Thats the idea. The fashion show would not be about fashion
but about careers that a child can stud y toda y.
MUSICAL NUMBER: I WANT TO BE
In this song the whole group explains to Lupita how wonderful is each one
career a person can stud y.
Lupita tells her that everything is fine but she does not live in Malibu and
things are not so easy, in the real world you have to develop a strateg y.
The y need a Pro Fashion Coach to help them to design the show. The onl y one
who can do it is Madame Le Chic. The most famous fashion designer who is
visiting Malibu. they will find out Le Chic.
Tessa and Nikki are excited and talk about with Barbie how wonderful is to
have Lupita with them but the y want to know how was possible for her to come
into their world. Barbie tells them the gift box in which Lupita came is where
she has kept all her imagination. That box is the bridge.
Mutation and the screen lights up. In image we see the elder Lupitas brother
Pepe tries to scare her but Lupita is not there. Instead is onl y a gift box.

Back in the World of Malibu , Lupita and the gang are at the hotel where Mme.
Le Chic is hosted. Suddenly there is a shock and a group of people flees the
room where she is. Enter Le Chic.
MUSICAL NUMBER: THE PERFECT IMAGE
Le Chic in this song is presented and also expresses her anguish for havent
find anyone who can worthil y represent her vision. Suddenly discovers Barbie.
Barbie, her friends, including Lupita, and even Ken, are what she was looking
for her fashion show.
Mme. Le Chic is a strange woman is something between The Incredibless
Edna mixed with La Doa and Carmen Miranda. Barbie accepts but asks Le
Chic for guidance in the Lupitas fashion show, Le Chic agrees. Lupita says
she can not sta y long, she must wake up and go to school. Barbie saves the
day by telling her that no one else should know who she really is.
MUSICAL NUMBER: HEALTH Y BODY
The group monitored by Le Chic makes a song where they explain how
important is exercise to be health y. The number ends when the y should go to
their dressing rooms to get ready for the parade.
The screen lights up and we see Lupita's brother decided to break the gift box
in the Barbie house
FLASH!!!!!!!!!!!!
The screen turns off. The box falls on stage and we heard screams inside it.
The box opens and a young soldier, rough kind of GI JOE, called Captain
Comando appears. It is the mind of Pepe who has entered the World of Barbie
game.
MUSICAL NUMBER: A TOUGH GUY
In this song Pepe discovers that he is inside the toy and play with the idea now
he is stronger and big. The number and the act ends with Captain reaching the
Hotel and decided how to spoil the party his sister and Barbie.
INTERMEDIATE
SECOND ACT
MUSICAL NUMBER: GETTING READ Y

In this song we see two parallel actions, Barbie, Lupita and the gang
preparing for the parade of Madame Le Chic. On the other hand we see
Captain Commando in a "Rambo trying to sabotage a fashion show" but all with
a deep bo yish mood. For example mines made with chewing gum to sticking
high heels. Chile in soft drinks and details rather mischievous than dangerous.
When the number ends Captain Commando is discovered by Madame Le Chic
who starts to chase him. He is terrified
MUSICAL NUMBER: OLD TIMES
In this song, an apache tango, that is the French 30s tango style, Le Chic tries
to woo Captain Comando who only looks for fleeing. The number ends with
Captain Commando imprisoning Le Chic in the broom closet.
It is time for the show. Le Chic does not appear. Ken informs them that the
guests have arrived the show begins.
MUSICAL NUMBER: ALMOST a whack.
In this song the parade starts and Captain Commando began his series of
attempts to ruin it, but Lupita recognizes the pitfalls of his brother and helps to
prevent the show ends badl y. Le Chic reappears after being released from his
prison. Captain Commando flees from her and falls into a trap, Chic pursued
him.
Fade to Black
The performance was a hit Le Chic is happy and tells Lupita that to do
something good the clue is only believe in oneself.
MUSICAL NUMBER: ALL IN IT
Le Chic and Barbie perform a duet telling Lupita that everything can be
achieved with will and hard work.
Captain Commando has realized the problem that he was getting into. He
repents and is forgiven. It is time to return.
Barbie and the whole group of characters return to the pla yhouse and return
children to their world.
the screen lights up and the two children come to see the world from which
the y returned they say goodbye to the characters and go to sleep.
BLACKOUT

The screen reads 4 months later. we hear the voice off of an announcer
announcing the final performance of Lupita.
MUSICAL NUMBER: ALL YOU CAN
Pepe headed by Lupita performs the end of the show finally united as brothers.
The number melts when through scenic FX characters in the world of Barbie
appear and join them
MUSICAL NUMBER: PARTY WITH BARBIE
In this final song we present the characters celebrating the life and adventures
that can be lived through imagination. This number becomes the bows for the
show.
Is possible to invite audience girls who come to the theater with her Barbie doll
to take the stage and form the final frame which will be complemented by a set
of giant balls play between audience and performers.
