SCOPE
This procedure is applicable for the preparation work for piping arrangement around air cooled heat exchange
hereinafter

called air fin cooler. j

WORKFLOW
The following workflow show an outline of preparation work for piping arrangement around air fin cooler. Its detail is
shown in Para. 3 through Para. 6 of this procedure. And to practically use this procedure, Design Guide for Piping
Arrangement around Air Cooled Heat Exchanger (PDS 320-1-34E) (hereinafter referred to as PDS 320-1-34E)
shall be referred to.

Study of Arrangement Type and Position (Refer to PDS 320-1-34E Para. 3.1)

Confirm the arrangement has not occupied unnecessary space of plant area and the length of connecting pipe
is made short.
(b) Check the number of passes and positions of inlet and outlet nozzles of air fin cooler as well as positions of
connected equipment.

PREPARATION FOR AUXILIARY PIPING ARRANGEMENT OF AIR FIN COOLERS SUCH AS DRAIN/VENT
(STEP-4)
On completion of arrangement for inlet and outlet piping of air fin cooler, auxiliary piping arrangement shall be
prepared.
(a)
