In-town
bus route
eliminated
Elementary teacher
resigns, new one hired

Carnegie Public Schools voted to do away
with in-town bus service when they met
Thursday evening.
The board approved restructuring the bus
routes to include service one mile from the
4-way stop at the intersection of Hwy 58
and Hwy 9 and to include not going outside
the district.
The restructuring will eliminate one bus
route and one driver and save the district
money according to school officials.
Following an executive session, the board
approved to hire the following support personnel for the 2016-2017 school year:
Jeri Bumpass, Julia Chavez, Christy
Gutierrez, Billy Harmon, Mechele Harmon,
Brenda Harrison, Melissa Holmes, Kathy
Hulme, Cathy Kinder, Wilda Koomsa, Keri
Mabry, Tricia Mitchell, Brenda Moore, Angela Orduna, Jennifer Parish, Buddy Reed,
John Weaver and Hope Worthington.
The board accepted the resignation of
elementary teacher Crystal Harmon and
approved hiring Shyanna Wallis as an
elementary teacher for 2016-2017.
The board also approved hiring Keri Mabry as encumbrance clerk and Jeri Bumpass
as deputy treasurer for the upcoming year.
