INTRODUCTION
For
this
final
project,
we
were
given
a
task
to
conduct
a
survey
and
compare
the
analysis
that
we
have
gathered
between
male
and
female
students.
We
were
required
to
make
a
minimum
of
15
survey
questions
based
on
any
topic
related
to
diseases.
The
questions
will
determine
the
understanding
level
of
male
and
female
students
on
the
chosen
disease
that
we
pick.
We
decided
to
conduct
our
survey
on
STD
Herpes
Simplex
Virus
1.
We
came
up
with
15
multiple
choices
question
with
some
True
and
False.
All
of
the
questions
are
made
based
on
a
lot
of
researches.
So
there
are
questions
on
symptoms,
effects,
treatments,
cure
and
more.
Most
of
the
students
that
were
asked
are
between
the
ages
of
15-
25
years
old.
After
we
completed
with
giving
out
all
the
surveys,
we
calculate
the
data
and
find
the
average
on
which
gender
knows
better
on
the
disease.
We
divided
the
survey
into
two
categories:
male
and
female.
And
from
there,
we
analyse
on
who
has
the
most
correct
answer
(mode),
and
what
their
average
score
is
overall
(mean.)
Then
we
go
in
a
bit
more
detail
by
looking
at
specific
questions
and
asking
which
group
has
the
most
correct
answer.
We
use
percentages
to
help
us
compare
the
results.
OBJECTIVE
METHODOLOGY
We
have
finalised
the
survey
questions
on
Sexually
Transmitted
Disease
(STD)
Herpes
Simplex
Virus
1
(HSV-1),
which
consists
of
15
questions,
by
the
end
of
April
and
we
started
the
survey
in
the
early
month
of
May
and
the
survey
process
took
2
weeks
to
be
completed.
In
total,
we
have
294
responses
from
students
mainly
from
the
age
of
18
to
25
years
old.
The
survey
process
took
place
at
Taylors
University
particularly
at
the
library
area,
in
classroom
and
restaurants
due
to
the
high
number
of
students
available.
We
started
our
survey
by
asking
our
friends
to
answer
the
survey
questions
and
other
students
at
the
campus
areas.
The
picture
below
shows
some
of
the
students
answering
the
survey
questions
outside
of
the
library.

the
mean

Female:
The
average
scores
for
female
is
by
adding
up
all
the
scores
together
and
then
divided
by
the
number
of
participants.
So
there
are
137
female
participants.
And
the
total
sums
of
the
scores
are
1,069.
1069
137
7.8
So
the
mean
scores
for
female
are
about
8.
This
means
that
the
average
score
that
female
got
correct
are
8/15.
Male:
There
are
a
total
of
157
male
in
total.
The
sum
of
all
the
males
scores
is
1,004.
1,004
157
6.39
So
the
mean
score
for
male
are
about
6.
This
means
that
in
average,
male
got
6/15
correct
for
the
survey.
From
this
analysis,
we
can
conclude
that
female
had
gotten
higher
score
than
male.

From

we
can
derive
that
the

because
it
has

This
means
that

From

we
can
derive
that
the

This

that

question

it
asks
What
is
herpes?
The
right
answer
for
this
question
is
:
The

that

by

So
we
want
to
analyse
which

for
this
answer.

For

for

we

From

we
can

that
mostly
female
got
the

for
this
question.
But
at
the
age
of
24-25,
male
have
the
higher
number
of
correct

Although
it
is
higher,
we
can
understand
that
this
could
be
the
cause
of
inequality
of
male
and
female
participants.
There
are
more
24-year-old
male
than
female.
Which
could
make
their
result
to
have
more

female.
But
overall,
this

us
to

that
female
