Lesson Breakdown
Lesson Notes
Introduction
- Review prior knowledge on colours and sizes: students
can do a quick game using fly swappers and colour and
size words posted at the front of the classroom. The
teacher will call out a word in English and students will
race to be the first to swat the corresponding word in
French.
- Introduce students to clothing vocabulary with exercise:
divide the class into 10 groups (3 students per group) and
have them try to match all the French and English words
in their envelopes. These are all unfamiliar to them but it
encourages them to make connections and activate prior
knowledge.
