The industry is projected to be worth $10 billion by 2020, with 15,000 civilian drones sold per month in the US as of 2015. UAVs are being used increasingly for applications like agriculture, infrastructure inspection, border patrols, photography, construction and film production. They are also getting smaller, less powerful and less expensive over time.
