Analysing Short Film

The cinematography technique of the depth of field uses a

focus pull at the start of the film to indicate it is about romance.
This is clear because the boy is clearly looking at the girl in
admiration but she is blurred and then the focus changes to her
when she looks up, making her in focus displaying her smiling
at him. This allows the audience to see the genre of film is
romance as the boy and girl engaging in eye contact.

The upwards tilt of this shot is used effectively to convey the

enjoyment of this activity these two individuals are having
together emphasising to the audience their love for one
another.

Another cinematography technique they use in this shot film is

the zoom. This shot is progressively getting zoomed out
displaying the disruption of their relationship and how it is
falling apart. This is very effective as it is very subtle but the
audience will immediately know what it means.
