En fait~ lc calcndrlcr rut mnintcnu ct le dernicr envoi attcignit le Caire le 29 decembre 1994~ .apes que toutcs lcs fnrmulitcs furcnt accomplies par unc delegation clirigcc par lc Prof. Dr. Ahdcl Halim Nour Eddin. Ccttc dcicgntion accompagna le dcrnier envoi par vote de terre dcpuis Isrncl jusqu'au Muscc Egyptien, au Caire, ct ccci en accord avec unc decision prise par le Ministrc de ta Culture, Pnisident du Conscil Supreme des Antiquitcs. En tout, l'Egyptc recut 1443 caisscs alnsl que des cartes, des documents, ct des rapports rcrnplissant 9000 pages.

La collection des ant lquites com porte des objets qui couvrcnt toutcs lcs phases de la civilisation cgypticnnc, depuis In Periode Prcdynastiquc, en passant par tes pcriodcs Pharaeniquc, Greco-romaine et lslamiquc, Elk comprcnd:

- Des pavements c1 des reliefs murau" en marbrc et albfttre avec des decorations floralcs ct georncrrlqucs de l'eglisc dc Fclnussiya.

- A rare stela from I he Ruman Period depicting a procession of soldiers mounted Oil horses, from Ten el-I Hr.

- Stone muuldx fur casting copper weapons and mirrors. from the mine site of Serahit el-Khadcm,

- Around one thousand historical coins from the Roman and Islamic Periods.

The Return from Israel of all the Antiquities Found in Sinai

Since J 9RO, Egypt claimed the return of a 11 ant iqu i rics I ouncl durn ing the Sinai occupation. The official ccrrespondanec with the Israel i nuthorit ics lusted many years and [lnally, in january 1993, it group of Egyptiun t!XJ1CTts trom the Supreme Council for Antiquities, was sent to lsrncl to sign a prnUncol which stipulates that the Israeli Antiquities Authur if y promises tn return all the objects found by the Israeli expeditions in S}nui. knowing that they had already recorded them and studied 1 hem for thr ir scientific publication. It was decided that the return of Ihl.~:.ic lUllillUilics. would have to he carried out ill four shipments during the years ~ t)t)_1, and 1994, and not later than Decemhcr [9()4. In rae'. this schedule has been maintained and the last shipment arrived in Cttiro on ::!9 f)C(,'l:m~ ber 1994 after aU the formalities were completed hy a de lcgution headed by Prof, Dr. Abdcl HaHm Nur Edtfin, Secretary of the Supreme Counci I for Antiquities. This. dclcgat ion accompanied 1 he last xh ipment by land from Israel to the Egyptian Museum. in Ca iro, fnllt,wing a decision taken by the Minister uf Cu ltu re, President uf t hl!' II igher Council of Antiquities. In all, Egypt received J 443 bOXi;S accompanied with maps, documents, and reports covering 90(lO Jluges.

The collection of antiquities includes objects which C(.lVcr aU phases of Egyptian civilization from the Prcdynastic Pcriocl, in the Pharaonic, Graeco-Roman and Islamic Periods. They consist of:

- Private stelae and funerary stelae of stone, dated tn tile Inlc Roman Period and inscribed in Greek.

- Pavements and wall reliefs of marble anti alabaster, with floral nnd geometrical designs, from the Feloussiya Church.
