Abstract:
The article focuses on the potential link between mental depression
and coronary artery disease. According to the author, researchers
have suggested several pathways whereby depression might affect
outcomes in patients with coronary artery disease. It is concluded
that adequately powered studies are needed to resolve certain
questions before clinicians assume that depression is associated
with clinically important effects on platelet activation.
