STRESS

SIGNALS
AND IT’S

DR.
SHRINIWAS
KASHALIKAR
How do we know that we have stress and we have not been
able to manage it?

Does it require the gross damage to our body? Does it

require abnormality of parameters like blood sugar, blood
pressure, acidity of our stomach and being branded as
patients of diabetes, hypertension or hyperacidity
respectively?

No!

Some small aspects of our behavior can tell us that we have

not been managing our stress properly and causing harm to
ourselves and others.

It is not merely being pained due to insult; that indicates

STRESS, but; while conducting an interview; when we take
pride and sadist pleasure in asking probing and insulting
questions (about which we ourselves are ignorant); to our
senior interviewee; that also indicates being STRESSED!

Let us understand that such arrogance, dishonesty and

sadistic behavior result from mismanagement of STRESS;
which harms us and others!
In short, every pain and even pleasure coupled with
weakness, discomfort, anxiety, helplessness, misery; and
pride, pretensions, irresponsibility, arrogance, respectively;
are signals of STRESS. Being exploited or cheated is a signal
of STRESS and exploiting and cheating is also a signal of
STRESS.

STRESS is reflected in our feelings and behavior at personal,

family and social levels.

Actually we tend to ignore every such signal of stress by

thinking it to be “normal” and never bother to learn to
manage it by participating in Total Stress Management!

So the best way is NOT to wait for any signal and start Total
Stress Management as an integral part of life, right from the
time when life begins i.e. from the time of conception.

But apart from various practical and theoretical aspects of

Total Stress Management; the best way is to start the
practice NAMASMARAN (which is the core of Total Stress
Management) and in fact include the study and practice of
NAMASMARAN in all curriculums.
