1.2 Problem Statement

We found out that our country’s payment for public parking summon is not very well
organized. Summon must be pay before 3 working days or the penalty will be given.
Summon will charge up to RM10 if the summoned doesn’t pay within the days. The
summoned is given 2 weeks to pay it at the “Pondok”. If the summoned still unable to
make the payment on time, they will need to pay it at Dewan Bandaraya building. The
problem is that the payment for summon is very inconvenience. For example, the
summoned has been summoned but he just reaches to take his car after the office hour.
He is unable to make the payment. The worst case is he receive his summon on Friday
and unfortunately at the Saturday morning he has a meeting. Since he is can’t make the
payment on time, he definitely will get the penalty to pay RM10. It is much more then he
usually needs to pay. Another problem is that giving summon through paper is a waste to
resources. It is not environmental friendly.
