Need to Have:
4mm crochet hook
Small amounts of DK wool in red and black
Small amount of toy stuffing

Need to Know:
ch – chain
st - stitch
dc – double crochet
tc – treble crochet
dc2tog – double crochet 2 stitches together to decrease
slst- slip stitch

Need to Do:

Head

ch 2, 6dc into 2nd st from hook, join with slst

ch 1, 2dc in each dc, join with slst, (12sts)
ch 1, 2dc in each dc, join with slst, (24sts)
Ch 1, working in FRONT loop only 1dc in each of the next 3dc,
1st Horn
ch3, 1tc in BACK loop of next st, ch 2, dc in FRONT loop of same st.
working in FRONT loops only 1dc in each of the next 7dc,
2nd Horn
ch3, 1tc in BACK loop of next st, ch 2, dc in FRONT loop of same st
working in FRONT loops only 1dc in the next 12dc, join with slst

Next round is worked through both loops as usual

Ch 1, 1dc in the next 3dc, 1dc in the dc at the bottom of the ch2, 1dc in next 7dc, 1dc in the dc at
the bottom of the ch2, 1dc in the next 12dc, join with slst

Ch 1, 1dc in each dc, join with slst

repeat this round twice more

Ch 1, * 1dc, dc2tog, repeat from * 7 times (16sts)

Ch 1, 1dc in each dc, join with slst

repeat this round 2 more times

Add stuffing to head at this point

Ch 1, dc2tog 8 times (8sts)

Ch 1, 2dc in each dc, join with slst (16sts)

Ch 1, 1dc in each dc, join with slst

repeat this round 4 more times
Add stuffing to body at this point

Ch1, dc2tog 8 times, join with slst

Ch 1, dc2tog 4 times, join with slst, fasten off

Finishing off, face and tail

Sew in loose ends

Horns
Using red stitch through and over the horns to give them shape and definition

Face
Nose – using red work several stitches in centre of face. Sew in loose ends securely.

Eyes and mouth – using black work a slanting stitch either side of the nose and add pointed smile
under the nose.

Tail
Join red into centre back of body, ch 16, 1tc in 3rd ch from hook, ch 3 and slst into same ch. Sew in
ends.
