There are four certificates attached:

1. A fake 3rd dan certificate made out to myself as an example of a

Japanese style certificate.

2. A blank Japanese dan certificate with “Shotokan Karate-Do” as the

association

3. A blank Japanese kyu rank certificate with “Shotokan Karate-Do”

as the association.

4. An instructional Japanese certificate with pointers as to how to fill

out the blank areas.

You may use these certificates for any purpose you like. The blank is
placed into the public domain. You can use them to print blanks for
your Shotokan Karate club if you want to.

Warning: None of these certificates will appear valid to a Japanese

national. They are easily seen as produced on a word processor, and as
there is no issuing body called Shotokan Karate-Do, they look like
university degrees without the name of a college on them. They also
are lacking the red and orange inkan stamps which serve as signatures
on Japanese legal documents, and thus they will be deemed non-
authentic if you try to use them as evidence of Japanese grading.

However, if you use them for personal purposes or for your own club
with no illusions about how portable they are as official documents,
they should suffice nicely.
