Cedar Court Hotels has added to its board of directors. Maritza Demetriou, daughter of
founder George Demetriou, and director of finance Kevin Henry have been appointed to the
board of the Yorkshire independent hotel chain.

Cedar, which has a turnover of approximately £15m, said the appointments formed part of
its "2015 Vision", which aims to consolidate its product strengths and position it for
"another 25 years of growth".

George Demetriou said: "Our key strength is the way in which we combine the independent
spirit and traditional values of a family business with good business sense and innovative thinking.

"In an industry where people tend to move around, we have an extraordinarily loyal staff many of whom stay with the company for
years. I am anxious to keep alive the culture that engenders this loyalty, and the new board structure is, I am sure, going to guarantee
that."
