REPORT ON TURBINE ENGINE LUBRICATION SYSTEM

Objective : To ensure the oil system complies with the maintenance


manual

Aircraft Type : Viper Engine 522

Tools and Equipment : Wrench Set, Phillips Screw driver, Flat head Screw driver
1/8 wrench, Safety Wire Plier

Reference : Viper 522 Maintenance Manual


Lecturer

Procedures :

1. Drain the oil in the engine

2. Inspect for any discrepancies or leak on the pipelines

3. Remove the pipelines and the oil tank

4. Isolate each problem as assigned

5. Install oil tank and pipeline and wire lock it using safety wire

CONCLUSION

The lubrication system on turbine engine supplies oil to moving parts within the
engine which are subjected to friction and heating. Without proper lubrication on the
engine, it will destruction the whole aircraft. Therefore, it has to be maintained
according to the maintenance manual to avoid damage to the engine.
