What is Ankuran?
The world is a beautiful ‘Creation’!
Nothing can be more exhilarating
than seeing the sparks of ideas turn
into blaze of innovation, thoughts
translate into knowledge and hard
work create the uncreated.
However, like a seed which needs a
little care to turn into a behemoth
tree, an idea also needs to be
nurtured to realize its full potential.

Ankuran, the entrepreneurship

fair, is a unique initiative by IIM
Lucknow to bring together the
budding entrepreneurs, VC firms
and organizations which ardently
believe in innovation and power of
ideas, under one roof.
 Vision

Our vision is to perpetuate Ankuran as

a sustainable platform that nurtures
the ecosystem required for
entrepreneurship by:

• Bringing together entrepreneurs

and entities which are willing to
provide support to them
• Providing mentoring to the
entrepreneurs
 What Is Unique About
Ankuran?
• Ankuran is not the usual business
plan competition. It is a platform for
entrepreneurs to present their ideas
to potential stakeholders
• Short listing of ideas will be done by
renowned Venture Capitalists and
esteemed IIM Lucknow professors
• Mentoring during incubation period
by IIM Lucknow for all the shortlisted
participants
 Event Summary
Preparation Stage
• IIM Lucknow will invite entries for
business plans from start-ups,
professionals and students in five
different sectors
• Leading venture capitalists and
IIM Lucknow professors will
shortlist business plans in each of
the five categories
• IIM Lucknow will conduct
workshops on new venture
planning for the shortlisted
participants
• Participants will submit their final
plans
Event Day (18-Dec-2010)
• Mr. Raghav Bahl will inaugurate
the event and deliver keynote
address
• A panel discussion on the topic
‘Do we lack high growth
entrepreneurs?’ will follow the
keynote address
• The shortlisted participants will
present their business plans to
VCs and Corporate leaders
• The event will culminate in
ethereal music of ghazal maestro
