PIMPLES:

1) For getting rid of pimples, take a quarter cup of cold milk, few drops of ros
ewater, mix finely crushed Quaker oats. If you want, you can add a pinch of turm
eric powder to it too. Apply on face for 10 to 15 minutes, don t rub on your skin.
Wash your face with cold water and spray medicated rose water on your face. If
your skin is normal to dry then you can use yogurt instead of milk.
2) Apply cucumber juice on the affected area. It soothes irritation and itchy pi
mples.
3) Mix 3-4 tsp bees-wax, a pinch of borax, 4 tsp coconut oil, 5 tsp mineral wate
r, 1 tsp glycerin and 4 tsp cucumber juice. Apply daily on face. Leave for at le
ast 15 to 20 minutes. Wash face with rosewater.
BLEMISHES:
1) Take1tbsp lemon juice, 1 tbsp orange juice, 1 tbsp carrot juice, half tbsp ol
ive oil, 1 tbsp yeast (khameera) & half tbsp yogurt, mix and apply on your face
for half an hour. Then wash your face with rosewater. Do this daily.
2) For skin blemishes, you can try rubbing a raw potato on your face.
3) Dip a piece of cotton wool in unboiled milk and wipe on the face with it. It
also cleans unseen dirt and goes down to pores.
OPEN PORES:
1) Take 1 cup buttermilk (chhaaj). Add a crushed flower of jasmine (chambeli ka
phool) and heat it on low flame. Cool it in the fridge. Apply twice daily on the
face for half an hour and wash it off with rosewater.
2) Tomato juice to which a few drops of lime juice has been added. Apply on open
pores for 20 minutes. Wash with cold water.
WHITE TEETH:
Any sweet tasting herbs can be used to freshen the breath, so choose the taste y
ou like the best:
1) For a quick fix keep cardamom seeds handy. When required chew them for a while.
You can also add cardamom seeds to herbal teas.
2) Make a mixture of fresh mint, lemon juice, rosemary or coriander, and a littl
e cinnamon in a cup of boiling water. This tea can be drunk at the end of a meal
or used as a mouthwash when cool.
BODY ODOUR:
1) In a bucket of water, add a piece of alum (phitkari) and a few drops of rosew
ater. Take a bath with this water everyday.
2) Use deodorants or anti-perspirants regularly especially in your underarms imm
ediately after a bath or apply talcum powder in under-arms, feet and the pubic a
rea.
3) Take regular baths.
4) Take coriander, cinnamon, rosemary, cumin and fennel. Boil then leave to cool
and use as a wash. Or tie them into a muslin (malmal) cloth and add to your bat
h water.
HAIR FALL:
1) Take 1 bottle of almond oil and heat it up. Add 2 to 3 tbsp fenugreek seeds (
methi daana) to it and store it. Before using, heat this oil again. Take some of
the oil as much you want to apply to your hair ( a quarter cup will be enough)
and mix 2-3 drops of apple-cider vinegar, 1 crushed clove of garlic, 1 inch piec
e of ginger (crushed) and a pinch of black pepper into the oil. Massage it well
on your scalp, leave it overnight and wash your hair in the morning with a mild
shampoo, preferably a baby shampoo.
2) Avoid hair style accessories like blow dryers, gels, sprays and harsh colors.
3) Manage stress with relaxation techniques like Yoga and Meditation.
4) Eat healthy nourishing food.
NAILS:
1) For shiny and strong nails, soak your hands in garlic water for 15 minutes ev
eryday.
2) No matter WHAT household chore you do, wear gloves. Immersing your nails in w
ater, dish soap and household chemicals is one of the worst things that you can
do for them.
3) Try the chamomile soak.
4) Take 1 tsp coffee powder, 1 tbsp raw chocolate (melted) or chocolate powder,
1 tsp brown sugar and make a paste by adding some rose water. Apply this paste o
n your nails for half an hour.
FAIRNESS:
1) Take half kg fresh rose petals and add 1 liter distilled or mineral water. Si
mmer it gently for 15 minutes on low flame. Pour 1 tsp almond oil and sprinkle 3
or 4 drops of the tincture of benzoyn. Pour this concoction into a bottle, keep
it in the refrigerator and spray on your face daily.
2) Soak some bread slices (sides only),1 stalk of a herb mulethi (optional) or s
andalwood, pinch of saffron and few drops of almond oil in milk cream. Leave it
overnight. In the morning, take a small piece of muslin (malmal). Put the whole
paste-like-mixture onto the cloth, fold all sides and rub on your face daily. Ma
ke fresh mixture everyday.
3) Grate carrot and boil. Massage that mixture to body to get fair and smooth sk
in.
FACIAL HAIR:
1) Apply gum of the rubber-plant on the hairy part of your face and leave for ha
lf an hour. Wash and spray rosewater.
2) Get your face hot-waxed after every 15 days. It will weaken the roots of hair
.
DANDRUFF:
1) Heat up arnica oil, add a few drops of apple-cider vinegar and apply and mass
age well on your scalp and hair. Leave it overnight and wash it in the morning w
ith an anti-dandruff shampoo containing zinc pyrithione.
2) Apply yogurt and egg mixture onto your hair and scalp. Leave it for at least
half an hour and wash it with an anti-dandruff shampoo.
WEIGHT LOSS:
1) Drink one glass of lukewarm water with 1 tsp honey and juice of a lemon every
morning before breakfast.
2) Exercise regularly, at least for an hour.

1) To prevent wrinkles and soften your skin, you could try pure castor oil; it i
s known to slow down the aging process of the skin.
2) Apply moisturizer regularly.
3) Apply egg yolk once in a week for 10 minutes.
DARK CIRCLES:
1) Apply potato juice to the dark circles with a cotton ball. Leave till it drie
s.
2) Close your eyes and put big round slices of cucumber over your eye-lids in su
ch a manner that it covers the dark circles. Leave them there for at least half
an hour
3) Wear sunglasses before going out in the sun.
4) Drink lots of water and lukewarm milk with a pinch of turmeric powder in it.
5) Crush one plum or cheeko, add half tsp glycerin and half tsp pearl powder. Mi
x and apply on dark circles for 15 minutes regularly
SPLIT ENDS:
Remove dryness from the hair
Do not expose your hair to anything that results in dryness, like bleach, color,
dye, perming lotion, hair spray and hair dryer. Also, regularly clean the hair.
Massage & steam your hair
Twice a week massage your hair for at least 10-15 minutes using warm coconut, ol
ive or mustard oil. After this, steam your hair for 5-7 minutes. For this, dip a
towel in hot water, squeeze out the water and wrap around your head. This will
ensure that the oil penetrates your hair and blood circulation in the roots impr
oves, due to which the oil glands will secrete optimum levels of sebum or natural
oils. Apart from this, wash your hair with amla (gooseberries) & shikakai. This
will cure the dryness in the hair to a large extent. You may get an ozone treatme
nt for your hair from a good beauty parlor.
Avoid exposing hair to strong breeze.
As far as possible, do not go out with your hair open when a strong breeze is bl
owing. At least, tie a scarf when you have to. Use an umbrella while going out i
n the sun.
Do not rub hair vigorously
Do not rub towel vigorously or comb the hair immediately after washing, as these
may also increase the problem of split ends.
Hair packs for split ends
1) Massage the root of the hair with a mixture of the yellow part of one egg, 2
tbsp lemon juice and 1 tbsp mustard or olive oil. Wash off after one hour. This
will make the hair soft and lustrous.
2) Mix 1 ½ tsp mustard oil, 1 ½ cup tea extract, 1 egg yellow and juice of lemon in
henna (mehendi) powder. Wash off after one hour.
Proper nutritious diet
A nutritious diet is also a requirement for split ends. Use quite enough of the
sources of vitamins A, B and D, proteins and calcium in your diet. Milk, curd, c
heese, grains, Soya beans, fruits, green-salads and green leafy vegetables are e
xcellent sources of these. Non-vegetarians can include meat, fish and eggs. Drin
k a lot or water.
Walking & mild exercises
Take a walk barefooted in the morning and evening. Take mild exercise as well.
Trimming
Get split hair trimmed at regular intervals.
Brushing
Brush your hair before going to bed. This will activate the oil-glands to produc
e oil.
GREY HAIR:
10gm kaala patthar (u can get it from any grocery store or parchoon ki shop) cru
shed, 1 jute piece ash, half kg coconut oil mix n massage at bedtime leaving it
on overnight n wash it off in the morning with a selenium 2.5% shampoo. Apply i.
..t on alternate days.
Take a multivitamin containing zinc.
Eat roasted liver with ginger n lemon juice.
Include olive oil, egg, cottage cheese, milk, green leafy vegetables in ur diet.
BIRTHMARK FADE:

ave, you can try a few of the following home remedies that will help reduce the
prominence of the birthmark:
Ice packs have been known to help in the tightening of ski...n pores which may h
elp in reducing the birthmark. Try wrapping three or four small ice cubes into a
small piece of cloth and rubbing this gently on the affected skin for about 5 m
inutes. Perform this regularly for best results.
Olive oil is known for its moisturizing qualities which might help soften the te

Herbal Mouth-Wash
Vinegar - 1 tbsp
Warm water- 1 cup
Honey - 2 tbsps
Cloves (laung)(Powdered) - 1/2 tsp
Method - Mix together all above ingredients and use as a mouth wash.

FOR STRETCH MARKS:


4 tbsp lanolin, 2tbsp beeswax, 2tbsp petroleum jelly, 5 to 6 tbsp sunflower oil,
2 tbsp glycerine, 1 tbsp borax cream, 6 tbsp mineral water. Mix n massage with
it twice a day.

WEIGHT:
Add 2tsp ispaghol (bhoosi), 1tsp white vinegar, 1tsp lemon juice, a few mint lea
ves (crushed) into a glass of lukewarm water n drink it in the morning before br
eakfast.
GREEN TEA FOR WEIGHT LOSS:
Heat up 8 glasses of water. When it begins to boil, add 6 tsp of greentea n let
it simmer (halki aanch pe paknay den) for 10 to 15 minutes. When 6 glasses of th
e water remains, add a stick of cinnamon (daar cheeni), 1 cardamom (ilaaichi), 1
stick mulethi, a pinch kalonji, 1 clove (laung), ginger n garlic 1 piece each.
When it begins to boil again, add a few mint leaves n store it in a thermos. Spr
inkle a few drops of lemon n brown sugar before drinking. Drink 6 to 8 cups dail
y.
IMPORTANT: THOSE WHO HAVE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE PROBLEM, SHOULD NOT ADD CINNAMON t
O THEIR TEA.

FACE PIGMENTATION:
2 tsp glycerine, half lemon squeezed, a pinch of turmeric powder (haldi), 2 to 3
drops almond oil (meethay badaam ka oil), pea-sized vitamin C cream n 1 to 2 ts
p mineral water. Mix n apply DAILY.
1 cup or 1 pao warm milk, 1 tsp kewra, 2 to 3 almonds crushed, some pistachios c
rushed, 2 to 3 raisins (kishmish), a small piece (10gm) of misree, 2 or 3 crushe
d dry dates (chhuwara), a pinch of saffron, chaandi ka warq, 1 tsp rosewater. Mi
x n leave this concoction overnight. Drink twice a day.

HEIGHT:
Height depends a lot on heredity. If both the parents r short-heighted, then the
re is 100% chance that their children will be short-heighted too , even if one o
f the parents is short then still there r some chances for the children to have
a short height but not necessarily. Then it depends a lot on the diet n physical
activity. Whatever is the reason, one should not lose hope.

Keep your diet balanced with lots of milk, cheese, fish, chicken, vegetables esp
ecially green leafy ones, fresh fruits, nuts, cereals n pulses (daals) etc.
Eat saagoodaana kheer in breakfast.
Drink 1 tsp of a syrup containing lysine (Lysovit) twice a day.
Drink warm milk with a pinch of haldi at bedtime.
Eat diet rich in vitamins, calcium, fibers and proteins. Get your diet plan fram
ed by a qualified dietician or nutritionist.
Half kg pumpkin (kaddoo) or laukee boiled n mashed. Add 2 tsp honey n a piece of
misree. Eat in breakfast daily.
Eat saagoodaana ka dalya with a few drops of kewra n a piece of chaandi ka warq

MOLES:
Take a pinch of baking soda and mix it with some drops of castor oil. Apply this
paste on moles and leave it overnight. Repeat this continuously for a few days.
This is one of the effective home remedies for moles.
Honey is also used to remove moles. Apply honey onto the moles every morning. Wi
thin just a couple of days, the moles will diminish and fade out.
DIET:
Drink pomegranate juice (anaar) twice aday
Cover your face n use sunblock SPF 45 when out in the sun or while cooking.
Eat lots of food, vegetables, fruits containing vitamin C like oranges, pineappl

Make a sandalwood paste with rose water and apply on the scars. Keep it overnigh
t and wash it with cold water the next day. If you find that your skin becomes d
ry in the morning, leave the paste only for a few hours on your face or you may
try adding some milk while making paste.
Rub ice cubes on the face for 10-15 minutes. It will tighten the pores.
Apply cucumber juice on the face. Wash it off after 15 minutes to tighten the po
res.
Cut a tomato in half and rub on the skin. Leave on for fifteen minutes. Wash it
off with water. This will reduce open pores and blackheads. This treatment is go
od particularly for oily skin.
FACIAL AND BODY HAIR REMOVAL:
Apply a mask of a paste made of sugar, lemon and water in the direction of hair
growth. Rinse after 10-15 minutes. Apply twice a week.

LIP BALM
Ingredients:
2 ounces Beeswax
3 ounces Sweet Almond Oil
1 ounce Jojoba Oil
20 drops Wheatgerm OIL
20 drops Tea Tree Essential Oil
A rule of thumb is 2 parts oil to one part beeswax. Simply heat the Sweet Almond
and Jojoba oil in a saucepan and add Beeswax. If you want a thin consistency (
such as a cream or Vaseline ) add only a little bit of Beeswax. Allow the base t
o cool down to see what the consistency is like. If it's too thick, add more Swe
et Almond oil and reheat, too thin, add more Beeswax.

In a double boiler warm the cocoa butter, coconut oil, chocolate and vitamin E o
il until melted. Pour into lip gloss container and allow to cool.

Meal Plans
Breakfast
Variations of fruit or fruit puree are great for breakfast. They are nutritious,
filling and the natural sugars will give you energy to get through the morning.
To make a fruit puree, cut up your fruit and place in a pot on the stove with a
small amount of water. Cover and leave it on a low heat until the fruit is soft.
Now just throw it in the blender and add a squeeze of fresh lemon to taste. I a
lso like to add a little cinnamon.
My favorite blends contain apples, plums, nectarines, pears and berries, but rea
lly anything goes. You can also mix it up a bit by using your blender to achieve
different consistencies.
Lunch & Dinner
For your main two meals its important to keep calories low but nutrition high. A
vegetable puree soup is the answer. This will give you energy to get through th
e day and all the nutrients you need.
Cut up your vegetables, add approximately one cup of vegetable stock, and cover
on a low heat until the vegetables are soft. Now throw it in the blender and spi
ce it up with a raw clove of garlic or jalapeño pepper (only a little as it's very
spicy!). I also like to add cilantro and a little olive oil.
I like to experiment with different vegetables for this soup. Great ideas are sp
inach and broccoli, collard greens, zucchini, onion, carrots and sweet potatoes.
Beans also make a great addition. I like to use chickpeas but be sure they are
organic.
Desserts & Snacks
This diet can sometimes leave you feeling hungry (it wouldn't be a diet if it di
dn't!), so its important to have some filling snacks around for when you need a
boost.
Fruit smoothies are a great options for dessert or a snack between meals. You ne
ed to buy packs of frozen organic fruits from your supermarket. These lock all t
he goodness into the fruit and are very convenient. I actually find that frozen
bananas taste much better in a smoothie than fresh ones so I peel ripe bananas a
nd put them in a ziplock bag in the freezer.
Just add ice and a little water, then blend away! I like blends of blueberries,
strawberries, blackberries and banana. Its really up to you to find a few combin
ations that you love. Be creative!
Drinks
Freshly squeezed juices are very detoxing and a great way to get some condensed
nutrition into your body. Fresh juice is also packed full of enzymes which are f
undamental in maintaining good health and preventing disease.
Some ideas for recipes - try playing around with these super-healthy ingredients
. Cucumbers, apples, carrot, ginger, garlic, beet and broccoli.
Don't forget to drink Green Tea. This is so effective as a diet aid because it i
ncreases your metabolism and reduces your appetite. It has also been used for mo
re than 4000 years in Chinese medicine, to cure ailments ranging from headaches
to depression.

HAIR FALL AND DANDRUFF


Apple juice tonic
Mix together 1 tablespoon of pure apple juice and 3 tablespoon of warm water and
massage into the scalp three times a week.
Rosemary and borax
Mix 5 tablespoons of strong rosemary infusion with a pinch of borax and massage
into the scalp daily

Conditioners to prevent hair loss


Hot oil conditioner: Heat a small bowl of olive oil or herbal oil and massage it
well into the scalp. Comb through with a wide-toothed comb then massage again.
Leave overnight for the best results and wash them with mild or baby shampoo.

A cup of sugar
Sour lime
Method:
Melt the sugar, taking care that it does not stick. Keep stirring until you see
it melting and start adding the juice of lime. When you see it foaming and becom
ing thicker, take it off the fire and let it cool. Apply only when warm, as hot
wax can burn the skin badly.
Smooth the wax on the skin in the direction of the hair growth with a flat blunt
knife. Let it set. Then take a strip of cloth, press it well on the wax-covered
skin and strip it off in the opposite direction of hair growth.
Make sure that before waxing, your skin is absolutely dry. If necessary, dust it
with talcum powder. After waxing sponge off with warm water to which an antisep
tic is added to prevent any infection or rash. Also, rub on cold cream or any ot
her soothing lotion or lavender oil. The few straggly hair that remain can easil
y be plucked off or removed by threading.

FAIR COMPLEXION
The masks mentioned below are very good to lighten the skin tone and add a glow
to the complexion. They must be followed for the specified time and inculcated a

Tips 1:
Soak 4 almonds overnight. Make a very fine paste with them, using milk to grind
them.

Warm 300 grams of coconut oil with 3 grams of black pepper. When it starts boili

is highly beneficial. It leaves the hair glowing and also removes stickiness and

Ingredients:
A cup of sugar
Sour lime
Method:
Melt the sugar, taking care that it does not stick. Keep stirring until you see
it melting and start adding the juice of lime. When you see it foaming and becom
ing thicker, take it off the fire and let it cool. Apply only when warm, as hot
wax can burn the skin badly.
Smooth the wax on the skin in the direction of the hair growth with a flat blunt
knife. Let it set. Then take a strip of cloth, press it well on the wax-covered
skin and strip it off in the opposite direction of hair growth.
Make sure that before waxing, your skin is absolutely dry. If necessary, dust it
with talcum powder. After waxing sponge off with warm water to which an antisep
tic is added to prevent any infection or rash. Also, rub on cold cream or any ot
her soothing lotion or lavender oil. The few straggly hair that remain can easil
y be plucked off or removed by threading.
DRY DAMAGED AND THIN HAIR:
Half kg coconut oil, a handful of fenugreek seeds (methi daana), 1 clove (java o

1 cup skimmed milk
METHOD:
1. Beat an egg in a cup of skimmed milk.

Grate one potato and mix one teaspoon olive oil in it. Divide the mixture into t
wo portions and keep it aside. To use this remedy for reducing the crow feet wri
nkles and black circles first dab honey very well on the eyes including the corn
ers and under eyes. Leave it for 5 minutes. Then after put one portion of grated
potato on one eye and other on the second eye. Lie down and relax for next 15 m
inutes. Subsequently, remove the potato mask and clean the honey from the eyes.
Use it on alternate days for best results.

EXERCISE: Be regular in morning exercises. Do neck and chin exercise for double
chin problem. Rotate your neck 8-10 times a day so as to make it flexible especi
ally if you sit for long hours in front of the computer. Also do more of facial
exercise.
