  • MBA Degrees - A Comparative Study of Different Formats of MBA Programs (Full-Time, Executive, Distance)

    An all-you need one page analysis of full-time MBAs, executive MBAs, part-time MBAs and online MBA programs in the US and Europe. The analysis examines four types of MBA programs: Full-time MBA programs, Executive MBA (EMBA) programs, Part-time MBA programs and Distance-Learning MBA programs. It does so for 1) US based schools and 2) European business school. Our analysis takes into account a set of criteria that we deemed helpful in getting a first overview of different MBA formats. These criteria are: Tuition fees (for the entire program), duration of the MBA program, acceptance rate, average GMAT scores of enrolling students, average age of students at the onset of a program, average post-undergraduate work experience, % of female students and the % of international students (whereby international means other nationalities than the business school's country of residence). The methodology involved averageing data for these criteria from different business schools. All the data was provided by Business Week and business schools in focus were all selected according to recent Business Week rankings of full-time, executive and part-time MBAs.
