1. Click in the window that you want to save a copy of.
2. Move the mouse cursor over any item that you want displayed (e.g. if you move the mouse over a link, the contents of that link will be displayed at the bottom of the window in some browsers.) 3. While holding down the Alt key, press the Print Screen key. (to capture your entire computer screen instead of just the active window, just press Print Screen without holding down the Alt key). This will capture the image to your Windows clipboard. 4. Go to the next slide in this document, right-click your mouse, and select Paste. The screen image will be transferred from the Windows clipboard to the page. 5. Resize the image as desired on the Powerpoint page (and re-format it as desired, e.g. using the crop tool which you can access by right-clicking the image and selecting “Show Picture Toolbar”. 6. Right-click the image on the Powerpoint page, and select “Save as Picture…” 7. Leave the default setting of .png format, unless you have a reason to change it, name the picture in the filename box, and save the image to the desired folder. 8. Now you can upload the image as desired, copy/import it to other documents, or email it as an attachment. 1 2
