Executive Summary

This report is for the course of Business Communication II as required by MBA program.
Business Communication evaluates the contemporary communication practices adopted by
businesses. This course requires the report which helps students to analyze the practical
application of communication practices in organizations. Each student is assigned research work
of any selected company large or small, private or public which has displayed exemplary
practices or has achieved excellence in some way. Students were assigned to write thorough
report on that company including its operations, achievements, performance, marketing and
management practices.

I selected National Bank of Pakistan which is a growing bank of Pakistan. National Bank of
Pakistan was established on November 8, 1949 through passing of a special ordinance in the
National Assembly and is 100% govt.-owned. The bank is engaged in providing commercial
banking and related services in Pakistan and overseas.

The National Bank of Pakistan has 1254 branches all over Pakistan with its head office located at
I.I.Chundrigar Road, Karachi. The major competitors of National Bank in Pakistan are Habib
Bank limited, Muslim Commercial Bank, Meezan Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and United
Bank Limited.

The National Bank has many products and services that it is providing to its customers. Some of
the products are Premium Aamdani, Premium Saver, Karobar, Saibaan, Advance Salary, Cash
Card, Investor Advantage, Cash n Gold etc.

The Company also owns joint venture/subsidiaries, which are engaged in banking, foreign
exchange and Securities. The Company’s subsidiaries include JSC Subsidiary Bank of
Kazakhstan, NBP Exchange Company Ltd, NBP Modarba Management Company Limited, NBP
Capital Limited, and Cast – N- Link Products Ltd etc.
