Ma’am:
The following students are currently enrolled in Systems Analysis and Design, a course
that envisions a good systems proposal, which is a part of a dynamic and responsive
curriculum of the degree Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. The course
cultivates and hones the ability of the students to develop interpersonal, analysis,
research, and design skills through interactive and meaningful data gathering activities.
The course’s objectives are: (1) to state relevant, correct, and well-defined problem
statement for the proposal; (2) design and implement pertinent data gathering tools
such as questionnaire, interview, or observation; (3) gather equally relevant and precise
information and requirements from the respondents of the data gathering tools; (4)
create reasonable cost-benefit analysis for the proposal; (5) implement applicable
development techniques for the proposal; (6) design interface and database for the
project; and (7) develop sound and useful proposal as an output of the course Systems
Analysis and Design.
The students of this College are very willing to help your organization by developing a
system which may be of great use for your daily routines and rigorous business
transactions. As the Instructor of this course, I respectfully recommend the following
students to conduct data gathering activity.
The output of the data gathering activity shall be useful in defining the business problem
of your organization and the data shall be utilized as basis for the development of a
sound system that primordially eradicates the bulk of paper work, filing, and retrieval.
We also ensure the security and confidentiality of the data gathered from your
organization.
Should you have inquiries or verifications, please feel free to contact us anytime and we
shall be very pleased to accommodate you. Thank you, in anticipation, for your positive
response on this humble request. More Power and God Bless!

INTRODUCTION
We had noticed the enhancement of technologies around the world. Thus, the
development of technologies is not acquired without also the existence of the ability of
mankind to perform specific task. It is hard what the future will bring; however,
examining the trends in technology today can provide the vision of what might lie ahead.
Since young people are the future, it is important that they understand and know how to
use the many technologies that will be available. It is equally important that students
understand the impact and effect of technology; both good and bad.
Computerization has now become one of the best solutions to office procedure problems
because of its capabilities and it allows processing of large amount of data. It speeds up
processing of data, hence, much time and effort in doing the work is minimized.
computers.
In order to study the ways and means of improving the present system being used, the
researchers came up with the idea of designing a computerized system that will serve a
investigation and Analysis. The researchers also hope to help the school to come up with
more accurate system to be used in minimizing the teacher’s time and effort in
The proposed system is being developed in order to attain a quality standard and
procedure the desire output. To be able to know whether the present manual system can
eliminate the manual processing of information with unparallel efficiency and accuracy of
information.
CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK
The flow of the proposed system contains password, which is being used as a
security of the system. The teacher must need to have his/her own password, before the
students will take the exam. In our proposed system we have the Client Server. In the
server he/she can freeze all units when the exam is times up. Browse is being used in
exploring the records of the students; Exit is being used in closing the program or the
system itself. And print when needed. In the user they will just take the exam in
Computer Aided Examination. The result of the exam will direct to the server’s computer.
1. What are the concerns of teachers in the present manual system in preparing and
administering an examination?
2. What are the technical difficulties of the end – users?
3. What is the level of effectiveness of the computer aided examination to the end
users?

It will be a great help to the teachers in delivering an examination and for them to
lessen their time and effort in preparing and checking the exam.

To the Researchers
The researchers hope to gain more knowledge and develop their skills in
programming.
This project is to implement computer aided examination (CAE) for high school
students only. Though the teaching methodologies are studied, it is not the intention of
the researchers to analyze the efficacy of the present curriculum. The scope of the

The CAE system, a tool for test administration, replaces paper and pencil types of

levels or types of examination. The system provides the advantage of generating test

students of finishing their examination at the same time maintaining statistics of scores
The CAE system does not measure the examinees ability in the operation of the
computer. The examinees score will depend entirely on his/her performance in the exam.

Research Design
This chapter presents the methods that the researchers will undertake in the
conduct of the study with the system development life cycle as basis.

Implementation
The first step is the project Identification and Selection wherein the researchers will
select from the system proposals to be presented. The proposed system were identified
to meet the information needs of the organizations such as the municipal government,
hospital, school, business establish like hotels and other organizations. The organization
were the study will be connected will then be identified during this stage.
The next step is project Initialization and Planning wherein the researchers will
provide a letter of permission to the head of the organization wherein the study will be
conducted as an initial step. A received copy will then be given back to the adviser as a
proof of permission from the head of the office. Initial details about the project will then
be discussed with the head of the organization. The researchers will come up with a
specific plan the team to follow during the course of the study.
The researchers will discuss the system requirements as the Analytical in this step
Through interview, the researchers where able to identify the problems encountered
in the manual system through Observation method, the researchers learned and
understand to process flow of the present system and able to determine the necessary
improvement of the school procedures. The library method was also used to make the
researchers understand better and wider about the study. In the Analysis stage, the
researchers came up with the flow of the present system from which the description of
The researchers in this phase came up with the cost Benefit Analysis that describes
such plan to acquire any hardware and system needed to build or operate the proposed
system. The next stage is the Design, wherein the researchers came up with the design
period.
The study was conducted at University of Saint Louie, Tuguegarao City with the
permission of our Adviser in Sad1 Ms. Geraldine Rubuelto, the Dean of the school and
their concerned personnel. The study focuses on the Computer Aided Examination of
their College Department, wherein all the personnel and the necessary information are
needed.

This method can also help the interviewer understand more of what the interviewee has
said through the resources from the library like books, other related books, etc. and from
this, it can verifies some concepts that are not clear from the gathered information.
