Publication of the Glasgow Guardian has been suspended due to

problems with miscommunication between the editorial team and
the SRC.

Guardian’s editors and the SRC are working together to attempt to resolve
quickly the issues that have arisen, and hope they will be able to reach
agreement and resume regular publication of the newspaper as soon as
possible.

Glasgow Guardian and the SRC have a long history of working together to
provide opportunities, skills and services to students of the University, and
will continue to do so in future. We’re both wholly committed to upholding
the editorial independence of the student media, and whilst this has in no
way been a complicating factor in the current situation, we think it useful
to reiterate here that this right is fundamental to our relationship and is
held in the highest regard by all involved.

We’d like to thank the Guardian’s contributors and the students of the Uni-
versity for their patience in this matter whilst it is being resolved.

Sincerely,

The Guardian Editors & SRC
