1. The department is arranging for i-cards for students and for faculty. Kindly deposit
Rs. 60 towards your i-card expenses. The photographer for having a snap will be
coming to the department on 26th August 2010.

2. Under the discounted rates, we can avail Business Standard Newspaper at a price
of Rs. 1 per day (Monday to Saturday). The 10 months subscription is available at
Rs. 250. Kindly deposit your amount to Kulkarni Sir, if you wish to avail this offer.

3. This year, the department would invite guest lecturers from various disciplines.
Please be in touch with various executives from your domain. At least 2 guest
lecturers from each domain are expected in a year. Followings are the subject wise
groups

• HR- SPM, PSJH, RUK
• Marketing- NCM, VSG
• Production, Systems- SRP, PSC, GPP
• Textiles and Retail- PSJ,ASG

4. The department is arranging 1 day workshop on Case Study method, tentatively

during 3rd Week of September 2010. Dr. Srinivasan, Faculty in K.J. Somaiya
Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai would be visiting our campus for the said
programme.

5. For allocation of summer training guides, all MBA –Textiles students are being
called on 26th August at 4 pm. PSJ, ASG, GPP, AHS and PSJH would be the guides
for these students. Please have an internal meeting to decide the further course of
action.
