Gas detectors are intended to detect natural gas (methane) and LP-Gas (propane), which may be present in a residential
building or in recreational vehicles. These devices are intended to sound an alarm at or below 25 percent of the lower
flammable limit of natural gas or LP-Gas. The basic standard used to investigate products in this category is UL1484,
“Residential Gas Detectors”.
