Conclusions

• Cloud can provide a platform to support the dynamic

business
• But -poorly implemented clouds will cause immense
pain
• The key is in using suitable standards
– But choosing these is not simple as yet
• Arguments around private/public clouds are crazy
– The end result will be hybrid, so plan for it
• Remember that the data is yours
– Figure out what the “Plan B” should be
– Information security at rest and on the fly is
important
