    1. This document contains the results of 5 separate ANOVA analyses comparing systolic blood pressure (sbp) between females and males with varying sample sizes (n=8,350; n=10; n=30; n=100; n=500). 2. In the first analysis (n=8,350), sbp was significantly higher in males than females. Subsequent analyses with smaller sample sizes showed no significant differences between groups. 3. The final analysis (n=500) found sbp was again significantly higher in males than females, suggesting larger sample sizes may be needed to detect group differences.
