2. Introduction
---------------
HashCalc is an easy-to-use utility that allows to compute message digests, c
hecksums and HMACs for files, as well as for text and hex strings. It offers a c
hoice of 11 most popular hash and checksum algorithms for calculations.
3. Major features
-----------------------------
1. Support of 12 well-known and documented hash and checksum algorithms
: MD2, MD4, MD5, SHA-1, SHA-2 (256, 384, 512), RIPEMD-160, PANAMA, TIGER, ADLER
32, CRC32;
2. Support of the MD4-based hash algorithm used in many P2P application
s (eDonkey, eMule, etc.);
3. Support of 2 modes of calculations: HASH/CHECKSUM and HMAC;
4. Support of 3 input data formats: files, text strings and hex strings

5. Work with large size files. (Tested on files with size up to 15 GB);
6. Support of files drag-and-drop functionality.

To install HashCalc, run Setup.exe from the distribution.
To uninstall HashCalc, run "Add or Remove Programs" from Control Panel, or r
un Uninstall from Start\All Programs\HashCalc.
