Maintenance Strategies

1.1. Introduction

“Maintenance” here is taken to include Major Rehabilitation, Resurfacing, and Routine


Maintenance as defined in Figure 1. Preservation of existing assets through these activities
should be an absolute priority for the State. Development, which covers Widening and
Reconstruction, is discussed in Chapter Error: Reference source not found.
