The University of Applied Sciences, Wurzburg - Schweinfurt is a premium education institution in Germany and was
founded in 1971. After Munich and Nuremberg it is the third largest in Bavaria. Around 7000 students are studying in
two campuses located in Wurzberg and Shweinfurt ( Both campuses around 1½ hours from Frankfurt). FHWS is
honoured with number of faculty members with higher experience and credibility.As most of the german
universities, FHWS is a non profit organisation. The name applied science indicate the strength of FHWS. The
students have to apply their knowledge and are guided by faculties who have rich academic background and
minimum of five years industry experience.Increasing internationalisation is top priority for FHWS.First, a major paet
of the students are going outside the country within their study.Second, an increasing number of foreign students
who will study for a certain period at FHWS. International MBA program of FHWS is approved by Acquin since June
2008. The program targets on future managers who wants to increase their skills and capabilities in a global
environment.The application of knowledge is key. The course will enhance the skills of the students in putting the
knowledge into practice. Students will benefit from intercultural competencies and with intensive training the course
aims to develop their soft and hard skills.
Note: MBA degree students have to complete entire PGDM course and in addition mandatory 3 months course work and industry exposure in Germany.
