Where The Lilies Bloom

By Thomas Fullmer

A rose blossoms
A bird’s egg hatches
A baby puppy is born
With big black patches.
From the cold of winter
Comes the promise of spring,
From the depths of despair
The Savior hope doth bring.
Died upon the lonely cross
Risen from the empty tomb
Saving all mankind
From death’s eternal doom.
In the burden of his life
Bore our sins upon his back
Bled with tears from pores
To redeem us from our lack.
We so unworthy of
Salvation partake
Because our Lord
Did not us forsake.
Amidst a loved one’s death
We can always hold dear
The rich promise of life
And never ever fear
Though loved ones come
And dear ones must go
Always remember
Where the Lilies grow
And spring from the winter
Of a lost love’s life
To dwell with Him
No longer lost in strife.
